Situated right off I-95 at Exit 7 in a safe and quiet plaza, the Holiday Inn Express Coventry/Providence offers you comfort and convenience right in the heart of Rhode Island.
Our 100% non-smoking hotel is equidistant from bustling downtown Providence, Historic Newport and its mansions as well as South County's beautiful beaches. Other local attractions include Roger Williams Park Zoo, Providence Place Mall, Federal Hill, the University of Rhode Island, and the Ryan Center.
Whether you are traveling for business or leisure, the 15 minute drive to T. F. Green Airport (PVD) guarantees a quick commute, coming or going. Business travelers may take advantage of how close the Holiday Inn Express Coventry/Providence is to several major companies including Amgen, Amtrol, Schneider Electric, MetLife, and the Quonset Business Park.

With easy access to I-95 and shopping, this HIE could have been a slam dunk. But poor housekeeping, noisy HVAC, closed pool and bad coffee gave it an air of neglect.

Big variety for breakfast, clean and quiet.. however…

We booked a double room for four adults two nights for a festival weekend. We were told at check-in, that there was a scarcity of hot water and that it would need to run for 20 minutes to get to temperature. After going to a winter festival with multiple bonfires, we all were looking forward to a hot shower when we get back to the room. However, it was not to be found. The water never got higher than room temperature that evening. The next day we delayed our departure for showers and our last attempt was after 11am when most guests had left for the day’s activities. We let the water run for two hours and the temperature never got above lukewarm. All other amenities were great. The beds were comfortable. Wi-Fi worked and breakfast was a full variety.

No Hot tub

My friend and I looked for a hotel that met all of our needs; free parking, free breakfast, and a hot tub.
We were slightly disappointed in the cleanliness of the room there were stains on the carpet and shades, smudges on the mirror - we were more than happy to look past that. But what we couldn't look past was no hot tub.

Renovated property, good potential with a one off poor experience

Renovated hotel, good set of features. Kind and attentive staff. I faced an issue with the heater being ineffective and too noisy. The attendant accompanied me to the room and checked, offered to change the room which I declined. Later realized I may have been better off with it. Otherwise the experience was quite okay.

When we checked in to our room it was extremely hot, even the bellman said it was hot and he proceed to cut the ac unit on, so as time went by we notice it never got cold in the room. On our way out we stop by the front desk to let them know and they said they will get maintenance to look at it. I told him I would stop by the front desk on the way back in to make sure they fixed it or to see if we had to move rooms. When we got back they told us maintenance had fixed the issue, we goes back to the room and it was still extremely hot. So we waited to the morning to let the FD agent know and they moved us to the room but no one never apologized or offered us anything for the inconvenience I know I was an employee rate but I am still a guest and no one treated me as such. We had to move from one end of the hallway all the way to another end of the hallway. Don’t get me wrong the hotel was amazing, room was awesome but the ac unit and the staff really made it hard for me.

I contacted the hotel two days before flying to confirm the shuttle pick up. The information I received was entirely wrong. I wasted an hour and a half waiting in the wrong place after a 10 hour flight and had to buy a sim just to contact the hotel to find the correct information. In the morning the shower was cold due to a faulty valve.

Here at the Holiday Inn Express Hotel Gas City, Indiana, our staff is waiting to show you small town hospitality in our beautifully decorated and conveniently outfitted hotel. Located just off I 69 between Indianapolis and Ft. Wayne, the hotel is in Gas City, Indiana, the heart of James Dean Country and close to both Taylor University and Indiana Wesleyan University . Business travelers find this location at exit 259 off I 69 provides easy access to corporations, including American Woodmark, International Paper, General Motors, Weaver Popcorn, Butterworth Industries and a Walmart Distribution Center . The complimentary high-speed Internet access makes it easy to keep in touch with the home office while you enjoy the hotel's relaxing atmosphere. In Gas City, Indiana, there is plenty of family friendly fun. The park and petting zoo are delightful places to unwind, or you can enjoy thrilling races at the Gas City I 69 Speedway. The James Dean Memorial Gallery , along with his birthplace and final resting place, are just down the road in Fairmount and Marion. This hotel requires a 350 USD deposit for any residents within a 50 mile radius.

Horrific place to stay

When booking we found the group rate to be higher than the advertised rate and when I talked to the manager he made all kinds of excuses why that was the case. I asked if breakfast was included and he said yes however when we checked in it was NOT. worse we had to stay an extra day and the manager gave us a breakfast vulture for the day then we were charged the taxes for the complimentary breakfast. In the room was the standard card saying if you forgot anything it would be the hotels pleasure to provide however when we went to get a shave cream they wanted a horrific price for it. Most of the staff can not speak enough english to have a conversation or ask a basic question either. OVER All I would NOT recommend any one plan a large group event at this property. It was the WORST experience I've ever had at a Holiday Inn!

Great Staff...Hotel & Food Not So Good

The staff are amazing. They're extremely friendly and welcoming. The hotel itself is not so good. The pool and hot tub were absolutely disgusting as well as the shower and sink dirty and stained. The breakfast buffet was absolutely terrible. Most definitely not worth the price you pay to stay here.
