The hotel is surrounded by companies such as DeAcero, Cemex, Vitro, Johnson Controls, Gruma, Banorte , and corporate buildings such as Torre KOI, Metropolitan Center, Torre ING, Distrito Armida and Torre Avalanz . Uncaring staff, poor service, bad attitude, it's a third party provider spoiling the name of brand IHG. Hotel manager don't respond to request for call, supervisors unavailable to handle issues and staff is not helpful.

I just stayed there for the first time yesterday. The area seems pretty sketchy with several homeless people walking on the sidewalk near the hotel, but they did have a security guard on the grounds.. The bed was uncomfortable and the room was missing some furniture, though The entire hotel seemed to be undergoing some type of renovation at the time. When we woke up, the power was out in the kitchen, so they said there was no breakfast that day. That is the main reason I stay in Holiday Inn expresses, for the free hot breakfast. One of the two elevators was broken and the one that was usable was pretty dirty. The hotel is directly next to a railroad track, which is extremely noisy when the train goes by. Overall, I was not happy, did not feel safe, felt it wasn’t worth the price paid.

Beds are old terrible

This place is old beds are old hard terrible in my opinion IHG people need to review this place. Carpet old and dirty. The ceiling in breakfast area dry finish pealing off chairs in breakfast area old and have tears in them. This the worst holiday inn express I have staffed in you should be assumed to have your name on and showers has mold in corners

Maintenance Issues are terrible

Maintenance issues are the problem here. Ice machine not working, Lights out in bathroom, Poor repair work on elevator buttons, toilet valve not working correctly, bed had huge "hole" or soft spot in it, USB poert not working in all, AC thermostat off by more than a little (But AC did work) Elevator floors are scuffed up, elevator inner door loose. There is likely more but can't remember it all.
The staff was ok and the rooms seemed clean, but the maintenance is lacking all the way around.

Horrible horel

This is in the top 5 for worst hotels I have ever stayed in. The AC wasn’t working to cool the room despite making an incredible amount of noise. I asked for a room change and was told the hotel was sold out. The night clerk said he was sorry but the smile o. His face said otherwise. He said they could credit points in the morning. I told him that without a working AC the nightly rate was excessive and wanted a discount. He said I could talk to the manager in the morning.
When I talked to the manager she said she would check with corporate and call me with whatever their decision was. I never received that call.
The final issue was that the shower was incredibly slippery and for some reason the hotel had previously removed the slip guards. When I mentioned this to the manager she said that with both issues I should certainly expect some sore of refund. Again that never came. They did credit points to my account but far too few for any future stay. I would never stay here again, and even though I usually prefer holiday inn expresse I am considering not utilizing the brand again.

Dismissive manager

Everything with the stay was okay until someone was able to get in my room at 5:00 a.m. luckily I had slid over the door latch.
I called the front desk right away to report the situation and felt like they didn't take it seriously.
The talk I had with a man who told me he was the manager a few hours later was even worse.
I will never stay there again and I would not recommend this property to anyone. I felt very unsafe and disrespected.
And it still kind of made me feel like was I targeted. Was this some sort of an inside job with someone actually trying to get in my room? Or was this just an honest mistake? Either way it shouldn't have happened.

Overpriced and not very well kept

We stayed here for two nights. The beds were comfortable, but the amenities were very lacking and security was sketchy. They were out of towels at the pool, many lights burnt out there as well, we had to get our key card reset at least 5 times. Rooms were very loud with elevator and hall noise. I was also concerned that the exterior doors did not seem to be locked securely and the key card slot at the pool didn't work so it was just open. It did not feel secure at all. All in all it would have been okay if it were at least half the price that it was.

POOR RESPONSE

First the 40 dollar fee to check in 1hour and 30 minutes early is unacceptable especially when the desk said room was ready. I needed to check in for my flight and the computers provided for guests didn't work and the staff could have cared less. Aguest had to share his computer for me to check in!
