The hotel was in a section of the city with restaurants and stores. The hotel overall is decent. The bed was comfy. I'd probably stay there again.

The reception staff are not clear on the payment you make you think you already paid the whole thing a d ask them if there is extra charge then you end getting surprise that they are charging again to your account when you know you already paid the whole amount

My girlfriend was stung by a scorpion on her lip while in bed. The man who checked us out when leaving said he would give me a discount. When I called a few days later they told me that they won't be giving me a discount. Everything else was fine but the fact that they lied to me warrants the one star.

Broken glass in lobby, pool was closed, not enough towels in room and a/c made a loud noise all night.

There was a broken glass in lobby when we arrived. The pool was closed and it was 90 degrees outside. We booked a suite with five adults and there were only three towels in the room. The bathroom floor had hair and dirt in the corners and the floor was very dirty. When the towels fell on the floor, they were black from the dirt and grime that was on the bathroom floor. The a/c in our room made a loud noise all night so that made sleeping difficult. The ice machine on our floor was out of order so we had to go to second floor for ice each time. The breakfast was excellent and the breakfast attendant provided excellent service and attentiveness.

Disappointing in all ways

Bathroom was disgusting and missing hooks on the shower, shampoo was empty. Very much in need of repair and cleaning. Noise was absolutely unbearable from the balcony room after 10:00pm. Could not fall asleep. Breakfast buffet was subpar and expensive for what most hotels give you for free. Beds were tiny and uncomfortable.

Location of the hotel is excellent, parking was one of the cheapest of all hotels in the area; parking was easy to get in & out; hotel was on the River walk, very close to the Alamo, and the starting point of the river boat tour. Staff is very friendly and accommodating. Hotel needs some remodeling.
