We were not happy with the hotel. We reserved 2 rooms for 2 nights, each room with 2 beds. For the first night, the hotel gave us 2 rooms each with a king bed. After complaining, the front desk gave us 1 room with 1 king and 1 room with 2 beds. That is not satisfactory at all.

This property is not worth the money. Stay somewhere else. We have stayed at IHG properties from coast to coast and this was the worst experience we have ever had. It is just an old, rundown dingy property. It needs to be refurbished from top to bottom. If you are passing through Cortez as we were, you should plan to stay elsewhere until this property had been renovated.

Visit real southern hospitality at the Holiday Inn Express® Moultrie, GA. Just a short trip to many Georgia destinations such as Albany, Tifton and Valdosta, and just 60 miles from Tallahassee, FL, home of FSU. We are less than a 30 minute drive from I-75, so we are easily accessible to many locations.
We are located in Colquitt County, Georgia's #1 Agricultural center. Moultrie is an agricultural community set in the Southern Rivers part of Georgia. It is well known for its antique shops and has been styled "The Antique Capital of South Georgia”.

Very Dirty

The rooms carpet had red clay ground into it, Big black spots of something, the Comforter was spotted with dirt, the bath curtain had holes in it as well as the towels.
From the start of reserving the room, I wanted 2 nights, and they told me I would have to change rooms then at check in they said I could keep the room for 2 nights but had to come down and reset key.

Great Customer Service & Location, Poor Housekeeping

Let me start with the pros...
1. The service at check in was great! Aleecia (not sure if that's how you spell her name) was wonderful! I was exhausted at check-in & she was able to make me feel welcomed upon arrival. She helped me with a few room issues throughout the evening.
2. The lobby smelled great upon arrival. Whatever air freshener or scent they used was very nice.
3. The breakfast was delicious, with a great variety. The breakfast area was clean, both the food area & dining area.

A. The bathroom shower & floor had long strands of hair in it (not mine bcuz my hair wasn't loose or that texture). Thank goodness for shower shoes!
The bathroom sink has a crude around the nozzle. Maybe that's from hard water, who knows.
The bathroom toilet had hair under the lid. I lift the lid when checking out the bathroom & saw it. How it got there, who knows, but I should not have seen it upon arrival.
B. The fridge had mold or leftover dirt (see the photo attached) in it. Luckily I did not need to use it & since my stay was short, I didn't need to change rooms.
C. The room did not have a remote. Aleecia (sp?) was polite enough to bring me one. Not sure where the original remote went but I could but find it.
D. I did, however, find a stuffed tiger animal in the drawer from a previous guest. Again, poor housekeeping.
E. The under window HVAC unit was loud. Every time the A/C kicked on during the night it woke me up. I had to turn it off in order to stay asleep.

Would I stay here again, probably not but that's solely based on housekeeping & the cleanliness of the room. However, the service from the staff I encountered was top notch, no complaints there.

Disappointed and Concerned After Our Stay

We stayed at Staybridge Suites in Guelph this past weekend for a dance competition, and unfortunately, our experience has left us feeling frustrated and vulnerable. After our stay, we discovered several unauthorized charges on our credit card. Upon investigating, we learned that our credit card information had been compromised—an issue we strongly suspect occurred during our visit to the hotel.
What’s most troubling is that we booked and paid for our accommodations directly through the hotel’s official website (IHG.com), trusting that our personal and financial information would be secure. The fact that fraudulent transactions appeared on our account despite taking all the proper precautions is extremely disappointing.
We’re sharing this experience to alert other travelers and to urge the hotel and IHG to review their security measures. We hope no one else has to go through the stress and inconvenience we’ve faced.

Candlewood Suites hotels are extended-stay properties. Housekeeping service is provided every seven days. If you need fresh towels or additional supplies please stop by the front desk. Candlewood Suites hotels do not serve breakfast every morning due to the fact every room has a full kitchen in the room. However, we have several options in our Candlewood Cupboard for purchase. There are also several restaurant options in the vicinity and within walking distance.

I booked this room the morning of my arrival. I did notice that the property seemed largely booked but, I was able to find a room available. I booked an accessible room on the IHG website. When I arrived, I was greeted by Karlie at the front desk. This girl seemed not interested in being friendly or polite. I have stayed in many properties and I have not had an issue with desk staff before and I was particularly disturbed by her attitude. I was told by her that the room I booked online was not available. I was booked in a regular room without the accessible features. I was also informed by Karlie that if I did not like the room I could cancel. No apology that the room was unavailable just rude. This is not the first time this has happened at this hotel but last time, I was upgraded to a suite. This time I just got attitude from Karlie. I contacted the GM of the hotel by email but never heard back from him. Based on the availability of handicapped rooms, this is why I would not recommend this property. If you do not have a physical liability, the location of the property is ideal with the restaurant next door. I am a Gold Elite member and I was not recognized by the front of hotel staff although, there was a sign in the lobby with my name on it.

Disappointing Stay

We chose the Crowne Plaza Victoria Sheffield expecting a higher-end experience, as the brand is generally associated with quality. Unfortunately, our stay didn’t live up to expectations.
Arrival & Check-in:
Check-in was smooth and professional. Car registration was taken for reduced overnight parking (£6), and a £50 deposit was held for any extras. First impressions of the building were underwhelming—the exterior looked very tired, though the interior was thankfully more modern and welcoming.
Check-in was smooth and professional. Car registration was taken for reduced overnight parking (£6), and a £50 deposit was held for any extras. First impressions of the building were underwhelming—the exterior looked very tired, though the interior was thankfully more modern and welcoming.

We took the lift (which felt a bit rickety) up to our room. It was clean and nicely presented, but unfortunately very noisy due to the proximity of a busy motorway. The constant traffic noise made it difficult to relax or sleep comfortably.

We waited about 30 minutes, which was fine as we were enjoying a drink. However, the lamb was disappointingly small—almost hidden under a pile of salad—and the portion of chips was also minimal. For £24, I expected much more. If my wife hadn’t left some of her steak, I might have still been hungry.

Unfortunately, the dining atmosphere was not enjoyable. Several children were running around unsupervised and being loud, which made the experience feel chaotic and not in keeping with the usually calm, professional setting we associate with Crowne Plaza. It didn’t feel like the hotel had good control over the environment.

Overall:
While check-in and breakfast were positives, the loud room and disappointing dinner experience overshadowed the stay. I wouldn’t return to this hotel, nor would I recommend it to others. It just didn’t meet the standard I expect from a Crowne Plaza.

Would not pay the money to stay in this place again. The motel across the street had beds that was more comfortable and they have a better rate.
