Nice if you like a cold shower

Everything here was fine until I tried to have a shower in the morning and couldn't get any hot water out of it, despite there being hot water from the tap in the basin.

Reported to reception when I checked out and got no apology, just a suggestion that I didn't know how to work the shower because "neither of the adjoining rooms had reported a problem". I think after years of 70+ nights in IHG hotels, I can probably just about work a shower... Not impressed.

Poor experience of a hotel terrible elevator

Terrible experience stayed for two nights elevator unsure if would work noisy thin walls with concrete ceiling felt like dorm room food was terrible cold every morning not warm one good thing they offer many fruits to select from and Oikos yogurt poo selection of tea and coffee was cold and burnt tasting. Parents slllowed children to be unruly playing in weight room and running around while I tried to my workout in. Smokers stood around front door got to smell and be exposed to several cigarette smokers. Didn’t feel safe. Terrible location to get to

Not Enough Parking

There is not enough parking. When we arrived there were a few work trucks with long trailers taking up multiple parking slots, especially slots near the front of the hotel. They also dont keep enough food out for breakfast. We arrived during the middle of breakfast and choices were limited and no cinnamon rolls, even though there appeared to have been some. Also curious to how long the pancake maker has been down. The breakfast is one of the main reasons for staying at Holliday Inn Express.

Average business hotel with poor service

My family and I stayed here for 1 day. Whilst checkin was great, very fast and efficient, unfortunately that is where it ends.

We traveled from Intercontinental residences Abu Dhabi having stayed there for 3 nights. The difference was incomparable. Whilst AD hotel was full of grandeur and great service, The Dubai hotel felt like a business hotel and very bad service.

On our way out to dinner we wanted to have a couple of pre-dinner drinks. It took almost 25 minutes to bring 1 drink. In the end we left as didn't want to wait as long for a second.

On our return to the hotel we tried calling down for some extra towels as we had an early morning flight. We tried almost 15/20 times with our call being ended every time trying to call through. Eventually we got a response.

We received a prompt wake up call (3.50am) I asked for luggage to be collected at 4.20am as we required express check out. I had to call couple more times after 4.20 to see what time they were coming. nearly 4.30 they arrived.

Although the issues are minor, they have a big impact when choosing where to stay on our return to UAE.

There are a LOT of hotel in Dubai in this price range that offer much better service for the same price and I would consider an alternative.

Nowhere close to clean for IHG brand

This room was not very well taken care of, I stayed thankfully for only 2 nights after entering my room noticed there was trash left in one of the two trash cans, A candy wrapper left on the chaise in the room next to the window, shower was very filthy looking from calcium/rust growth. My TV remote only worked if you pushed the buttons so hard your finger tips hurt. Thankfully I brought my own blanket and used A hoodie i had to lay over my pillow so I can lay my face down to feel more comfortable. If I return to the Harrison area I will lost likely not return to this Holiday Inn Express. I will say the front desk employees were very polite and welcoming though.

Great amenities, Horrible management

We tried for over a month between phone calls and emails to get a block of rooms and we were unable in the end to secure a block of rooms. We eventually talked to someone who said they would give us a hospitality room for a group event for free due to the issues with getting a block of rooms. When it came time to book the hopsitality room, we once again had issues getting any communication from the person we were talking too. We ended up reaching out to directly to IHG to get any response from the hotel. We were also told originally that we could do our own pot luck, but then when it came time to book the room, they told us we couldn't do that anymore? I decided to book an extra night. When I arrived at the hotel, they didn't have anything showing I had 2 nights booked, even though I had a confirmation email. After 20+ min, they ended up having to cancel by reservation and making a new one for both nights. The original 2 nights got put under different reservations and different rooms, so we would of had to switch rooms each night. We had another family from our group do the same thing and they also had issues with check in, took them about 40 min to check in and the hotel manager had to get involved, not sure what the whole story was there. The hotel itself was amazing, with tons for the kids to do. Overall we would try to stay there again, but if we have the same issues, we won't try as hard the next time to stay there and will just go somewhere else.

I feel cheated

I feel cheated… Extremely pathetic service and hospitality… booked bathtub room and when I checked in they bluntly denied bathtub room.. Mr Gaurav from front desk manager/ reservation team member was trying to be very oversmart and was giving completely baseless excuses that bathtub icon is different… its problem of bookingdotcom etc etc… extremely disappointed with this hospitality… 0 rating for their services

Very disappointed

I usually let things go, but I have to say I was very uncomfortable with my stay. The carpet was wet. There was a white substance on the headboard. The toilet was nasty and it did not flush. There was a bad smell in the room. There were stains on the nightstand, the remote had nasty stuff on it. It was not properly cleaned, obviously and I will never go back the front desk. Staff was nice. That is the only pro I can say.
