Terrible Experience

Check-in was at 3pm. We were there at 3pm, from out of states, to check-in. We were told (rudely) that rooms are not ready. We waited 50 minutes for a room- which was already charged to my credit card- when we got to the room, THEY SENT US TO A FILTHY ROOM- The room had not been cleaned yet!!!!! There were dirty towels, trash, bed tore up- clearly someone had checked out and the room had not been tended to. We went BACK to the front desk and they sent a couple housekeepers to clean it- not apologetic, almost like we were burdening them. The shift manager had an attitude- Room was cleaned and ready by around 4:35. I have never experienced this before- being sent to a dirty room, check-in almost an hour after check-in time and then staff attitude! I chose this hotel because I READ the reviews about the staff friendliness- this was NOT the case!! I would actually prefer a REFUND!! I have never waited so long to get my room after THEIR ADVERTISED CHECK-IN TIME- and then for it to be DIRTY

Modern was the only plus

The hotel was modern and visually clean. From there it went downhill. There was odor possibly bec of pets allowed. The bed was not comfortable. I always prefer hot breakfast and it’s always been fair in other places but this was bad. Both liquid egg dishes (cheese and veg) did not taste like anything, gravy and bread was disappointing on a Sunday.

First off my room was not ready by check in one time was not ready till 5 pm and I understand that they are short handed the rooms need to be updated with focus on the queen rooms and the towels wow like sand paper they need replaced also as far as staff they were great and need more staff was not noticed as a diamond elite and I have to call to get the greener stay point every time

I will never come back!

First off let me say the hotel is very nice and well kept as far as renovation goes. However my overall stay experience was HORRIBLE. I am a manager for a different property so I expected way more from hotel. The amount of mishaps was out of control. I originally booked my reservation for May 2nd-4th. Due to the weather I called to tell them I would have to rebook and come the following day if they could not move my arrival date themselves , since u was traveling from 3 hours away. The next morning I called after booking my new reservation to make sure everything was correct. I wanted to go ahead and pay so I called and spoke to Terry who said I could do so before checking in. Once I got there she informed me that if I was paying cash that I would need to add a card on file and pay at the end of my stay. I had two rooms Keep in mind this was 8am on 3/3/25 (my new reservation) she told me I could go ahead and check in and she upgraded me to a lake view room. I was very grateful and thought everything was fine I left the hotel to return to my children’s track meet due to that’s the reason we even came to Austin. Around 4pm I noticed that several charges in different amounts were being charged to my card. I contacted the hotel and spoke to Jessica she told me that their were no charges on her end and I explained the conversation me and Terry had about paying cash at check out. Jessica said that was correct and everything was fine around 9pm a guy name nick is banging on the room where my dad and other family was staying saying that we needed to pay now or leave. My children were asleep and so was I. I got out of bed cutting my foot in the carpet due to staples sticking out of the carpet and carpet being ripped. Went down explaining what Terry and Jessica told me. Nick claimed the manager told them to come up and disturb us for this payment they didn’t even try to call just came right up. I paid the cash right then to get back to sleep since we had to be up at 5am for another meet. For 45 mins a baby was screaming in the hallway but it wasn’t aware she was in the hallway alone until I came back out I thought it was a baby in the room next door somehow this toddler was outside the room screaming for 45 mins I called front desk and police and took the baby downstairs where the police was her mother arrived with some story and the next morning I had to go back and forth about my refund and that was the experience I had

Our centrally located all-suite hotel is perfect for the business and leisure traveler. We are located next door to the Knicely Conference Center and WKU's South Campus, and conveniently located near The Medical Center of Bowling Green, Greenview Regional Hospital, Graves Gilbert Clinic, and many other medical facilities.

Needs updating and a very deep clean

I was hoping for a better stay at this hotel. I booked two nights in a two-bedroom suite for myself and two young sons. The hotel and room were so dirty. The walls are completely covered in splash and drip stains, I didn’t want to sit on most of the furniture because it was also covered in stains and grime, the cabinets and commonly touched areas of the kitchen were greasy and had fingerprints all over, and the lighting was so terrible in the rooms that it was difficult to put on my morning makeup without my phone flashlight. While the location was good and the breakfast was excellent, I wouldn’t stay here again. The walls are also paper thin- I could hear someone snoring from the room next door all night and anytime someone would just walk around in the room above us I could hear exactly where they were the entire time. I ended up cutting our stay a night short because it just wasn’t worth the frustration and I couldn’t handle the level of uncleanliness of the place. Needs a major deep cleaning everywhere. Even the common areas were just covered with splashes and spills all over the walls.
On another note, the staff were all extremely kind and friendly. Wish the hotel itself reflected the quality of the people who work there.

This hotel should be closed

This hotel is undergoing construction and should not be open. ACs don’t work, phones don’t work, safes aren’t connected to the walls, the place is very dirty and very noisy. It is not worth any amount of money to stay here. We cut our trip short just do we could leave the hotel.
That being said, the staff were understanding and helpful.

Terrible!!!

I have been with IHG for several years and reached the status of Diamond Elite; however, my travels have slowed down, resulting in my drop to Gold status. Consequently, I have noticed a decline in both service and room cleanliness. This hotel was absolutely disgusting; the service was the worst I have ever received, and the staff was extremely rude! treated us like we were worthless. I will never stay at this place, nor will I recommend it to anyone. This is a black eye for IHG. This Crown Plaza should be removed from your list of hotels, and the staff terminated!!! Zero Stars Don't stay here.
