I was favorably impressed by the excellent condition of this Indian-owned franchise. However, significant disruptive noise in my room compromised my sleep, necessitating a one-star rating. Appropriate compensation would encourage a rating revision. As a valued IHG member with a strong preference for the Holiday Inn brand, I have provided supporting video evidence. Furthermore, why is the checkout time 11:00 AM? This suggests a lower standard of service. Despite a granted late checkout request until 1:00 PM, someone knocked on my door at 11:00 AM sharp. While the staff were pleasant, the promised call from the General Manager never materialized.

The carpet in our room was frayed and tattered against the door that led to the courtyard. The weather stripping did not seal against the door that causes the heater to run needlessly in the night to maintain a comfortable temperature. The homeless encampment under the bridge located close by and the homeless person that was in the hotel with his sleeping bag looking for a bathroom really set a negative mood..

I was very disappointed with our second stay. I find it ridiculous that two people only get one towel each, per day. The washcloths in the room when we checked in were dingy and gray. Also having dogs in the dining room is disgusting. For that matter allowing pets in all rooms is equally disgusting. When I asked the desk clerk about pets she was pretty dismissive. It seems that pets have been prioritized. Other hotels we have stayed in had designated pet rooms, usually on the first floor, but now I understand there are designated rooms for guests that don't want to be exposed to the after effects of animals in the room.

With an unbeatable location, Holiday Inn México Plaza Universidad allows those who visit us to reach the corporate and financial areas, shopping centers, government offices and important laboratories very easily through the main roads (Av. Cuauhtémoc, Universidad, Parroquia, Rio Churubusco). in the southern part of the city, in addition to having attractive recreation centers and sports, cultural and gastronomic shows.

La recepción fue promedio, aunque me reconocieron como socio ya no me ofrecieron agua o dulces de bienvenida.
Los pasillos de mi piso se veían en mal estado.
La habitación recuén remodelada pero el baño solo tiene una puerta de cristal lo cual resulta imposible tener privacidad.
Las almohadas son super incómodas y lo peor fue que la cafetera de mi habitación estaba llena de hongos en la parte donde se vierte el agua.

Nice location and hotel pretty.
Breakfast staft works hard. ..

and paid for a suite for 3 days. Never received, Check in clerk said none available. What could I do? Asked a female clerk the next day. Told her I reserved a suite. Her response was
"you are right, that's crazy" she was nice, but offered no suite. What was I to do? Get angry? Room not made up one night. What was I to do? So I lost my suite for 3 nights for which I paid and booked.

Room smelled awful and found live bugs!

This hotel was very outdated and had many areas that needed fixing. When we walked into our room, it smelled terrible and my husband killed 2 cockroaches as soon as we turned on the lights!!!!
We told the desk clerk, he didn’t seem to be too concerned and switched our room but never offered any kind of compensation or upgrade. I would never stay here again!

Hotel was nice, my situation was not and it never was addressed

I reserved the king suite room with the jetted tub and after checking in and going to my room and seeing it in fact was not the room I reserved I went back down to the front desk to voice my concerns and show the front desk clerk my reservation confirmation. He reviewed it and said he was very sorry there must have been a glitch in their system to let 2 people reserve the same room. Long story short the other guest had already checked into that room so I didn’t get to stay in the room I had reserved and we looking forward to all week long. I voiced multiple times that I would like to speak to the hotel management about this situation especially considering I drove over an hour just to stay in this room. The front desk employee assured me he understood my frustration and would personally make sure the Manager would call me to try to figure something out. That was a Saturday night into Sunday night and now it is Wednesday evening and I still have not heard a word from anyone. Very disappointing
