Welcome to the Holiday Inn of Rockford, IL conveniently located at exit 15 of I-39/90 for all your business and leisure needs while in the Rockford/Belvidere, IL region. We are located near many businesses like General Mills, Collins Aerospace, Ingersoll Cutting Tools, Exelon Byron Nuclear Generating Station and all regional medical facilities/hospitals of MercyHealth, OSF Healthcare/St. Anthony Hospital, UW Health (formerly SwedishAmerican). We are also near many regional sports facilities like the MercyHealth Sportscore Two and One, UW Health Sports Factory, BMO Center, Carlson or Riverview Ice Arenas. Other nearby attractions include Rockford Casino (A Hard Rock Casino Opening Act), Midway Village Museum Center, Anderson Japanese Gardens, Discovery Center/Burpee Museum campus, Coronado Performing Arts Center, Klehm Arboretum. Our complimentary shuttle operates daily to the Rockford International Airport (RFD) 7:30am–10pm based on availability.
Our onsite restaurant serves reasonably priced breakfast daily. Scoreboard Bar & Grille serves lunch and dinner with menu items still including the Hoffman House Friday night fish fry and Saturday’s famous prime rib. We recently remodeled and our guests can now enjoy complimentary WiFi throughout the hotel, parking and access to the largest indoor hotel pool in the city. Our remodeled guestrooms include a microwave, mini-fridge; Keurig coffeemaker, flat screen TV, room darkening shades, comfortable desk with USB ports.

It is inconceivable that a nice place like this doesn’t offer freshly brewed coffee for guests in the morning. $3 for a cup of coffee at the Hoffman House is ridiculous after spending $120 for the night.

Great hotel to stay at

We stayed here as a jumping off point to visit Hoover Dam and Grand Canyon. The hotel was new and the staff were all friendly and helpful. Breakfast was great as well as the automatic coffee machine in the lounge area. Highly recommended as a place to stay!

I chose the hotel at random hoping for the best…and I got it!!! The hotel is clean and modern, check in was a breeze, the staff was super friendly, the bed was soft and comfortable, lots of pillows, the room was clean and the shower was nice. There are two restaurants and a small grab and go food mart in the lobby with fresh food. The restaurant staff was friendly and the breakfast I ordered was great. Shuttle service was excellent. The hotel is in a remote area of the airport with not much close by but everything I needed was in the hotel. The room and restaurant prices were a good value.

This review is for the staff and the franchise holder. If you're going to charge over $30 more than your regular rate because it includes breakfast and a drink, don't you think it should be for the two people in the room? Otherwise it's buyi one get one free. And I don't play that game.. This was myopic on the part of management. You can't have the IHG logo in whatever form and behave like a motel six. You have a bartender in there who would be better served at the back of the house rather than the front as he had absolutely no personality whatsoever.. The microwave was filthy, for a long time. Breakfast was supposed to include two eggs with the biscuits, said so on the menu. They only served me one and then said that's the way they always do it. And finally, the water that was supposed to be hot for tea and coffee, was always lukewarm. Pristine facility somebody needs to be the adult in the room. It certainly wasn't the people that I dealt with.

Usually enjoy staying at Holiday Inn Express. This was a very disappointing stay. The hotel was very dated. Furnishings and lighting were poor. The beds were very hard and none of the 4 pillows provided were comfortable. The hotel was very noisy. Breakfast was the same thing all the time with no new item or switch of an item each day. Only one bagel and yogurt choice. Pancake machine sat on a stand, but never worked. Keurig in room was broken. When called down to front desk was told to come to lobby for coffee. Not very convenient!

We had a great experience with the staff, very professional and friendly. Room was very clean, bed was comfortable, and the shower was AMAZING! However, the property is under remodel construction, breakfast was very subpar, we were disappointed the room didn't have a microwave, and what's up with only giving two washcloths per room??? Probably won't choose this property again, doesn't meet the normal standards for a Holiday Inn Express.
