Everything in this Holiday Inn Express was excellent. The youthful staff was exceptionally friendly and helpful when I asked about a dinner restaurant. The one they sent me to was close at hand and it was a fun experience.
The decor of the lobby reminds one of a ski or hunting lodge. It catches your attention immediately. I was surprised to enter such a different, yet inviting environment.

I booked here because it was near to the Amtrak Auto Train station. It was also near restaurants and Mercer Lake Park, which features a 3.7 mile hike around the lake. The friendly staff directed me to the park when I inquired about taking a good walk while waiting for the delayed train to arrive.

I chose this hotel to conserve my IHG points. It was a good value. It is conveniently located by several interstate access ramps. It was quiet. The staff could not have been more courteous. I liked the bed linens.

I arrived here after a grueling trek on the Buckeye Trail on the East coast of OH and I had to drive 3.5 hours to get to the hotel before dark. I was totally exhausted so I very much appreciated the kindness extended to me by the desk staff. The room was quiet and pleasant, although I am not partial to the chaise lounge seating arrangement. It is uncomfortable.

I came here because of business matters. I found that the location was very centrally located to the areas that I needed to access, including the interstate. Because of this proximity, I was able to visit with several friends and relatives at nearby restaurants and share a meal with them after business chores were done.

I genuinely liked the various staff members whom I had the opportunity to meet. I particularly liked the breakfast offerings. They were attractively displayed, fresh and healthy choices abounded. The hotel's coffee was the best I have ever had...no kidding. It was fresh ground then brewed on the spot in their Bunn coffee grinder/brewer combo .

I was recently widowed and needed to write 200 letters/cards. In order to keep track of my correspondences, I asked if I could make copies or the ones that I was able to write during my room stay. The young woman at the front desk was sincerely sympathetic and helped me in every way she could! My room was comfortable and quiet. I felt safe and secure. I liked the easy access to the highway.

Although we came during the autumn and some of the outdoor activities were not fully able to be enjoyed due to the weather, we still had a great vacation. The pool was delightful and the walking paths were very nice. Our room was clean and well organized. We were happy to use the common space and laundry facilities. The location is very close to Ottawa which is an interesting historic town.
