Holiday Inn Express Colorado Springs-First & Main
This Holiday Inn Express & Suites is located in the popular First & Main shopping center in eastern Colorado Springs along Powers Blvd. This hotel is the perfect location for you no matter what your reason for travel is. With over two dozen restaurants and bars within walking distance of the hotel, you will have more time to enjoy everything that Colorado Springs has to offer. Take some time to enjoy a show at the Cinemark movie theater, only a two-minute walk from the hotel’s front door. Enjoy the fresh Colorado air, whether it be experiencing a Colorado Vibes baseball game at Security Service Field or adventuring the nearby trails of Palmer Park. With over 30 breweries in Colorado Springs, make sure you stop at Rock Bottom Brewery just a short walk from the hotel or try a couple local flavors, Nano 108 and Peaks N Pines Brewery that are less than a mile and a half away. Mostly importantly, enjoy the spectacular mountain views of the Pikes Peak region.

Dog running in room above

Yes, I recommend this property.
The stay was very good and we will return. Our problem was more the dog that was in the room above ours - it would run back in forth in the room. On our last night (before a long drive), at 3AM we were awakened by the sound of the dog running back and forth in the room above ours. I did go to the front desk and after voicing my concern the dog stopped. The dog running was heard other times, but not in middle of the night.
It certainly taught me to always ask for an upper floor room.
My suggestion is to have a dedicated area for dogs, preferably on the lowest level.
While I know people taking their pets on vacation (I guess the pets really enjoy vacations?), some of us are also highly allergic. Here again, having rooms for pets only would be helpful.
