Our room was unclean. The bathroom was nasty with stains on the ceiling. The entire room needs painted and the window shades had holes. The toilet seat was so loose we were afraid to use it. We called the front desk and we were told that they would send someone to look at it. When we returned from lunch, the seat had not been tightened. We asked the front desk for a screwdriver and advised we would tighten it ourselves. They advised they did not have any tool to tighten. I fixed it with my pocket knife. It is a shame that the people working at the desk have more time to sit on a chair behind their desk on their cell phone than they do taking care of paying customers. My brother stayed in a room across the hall and had the same problem. He also fixed his own seat.
We will not be staying at Holiday Inn again. It's sad more time was spent fixing hallways and exterior things that people see upon entering hotel rather than the actual rooms people stay in.
