My Stay Never Disappoints

I stay at this hotel approximately 24 days a year, so I have an expert opinion of this location. I can tell you the customer service and managment of this hotel has exponentially improved over the past year or so and I think they have dialed it better than most 4 or 5 star hotels. Ronnie and his team always ensure a comfortable stay. The newly remodeled rooms are beautiful, and the amenities provided extend luxury to over-all value. I appreciate the complimentary filtered water and access to unlimited refills. I love the Apotheke products and fact I get to use liquid hand soap and shower gel (over drying bar soap). I forgot my conditioner once and was forced to use this brand and was pleasantly surprised, so now it's not a big deal if I forget to pack my conditioner. I really love the added touch of an espresso maker (who does this??!!!) and in-room refrigerator. Towels are great. Bed/pillows are great. I even appreciate the fact they keep their hand sanitizers full by the elevators and check-in desk. Any issue I have, they genuinely go out of their way to address it. I absolutely love this place and each experience!

Very dirty

The hotel lobby had over flowing trash. The elevator floor was dirty. The halls needed swept. My room had what appeared to a booger on the ceiling, discolored caulking in the shower, orange stains on the bathroom wall that looked like a pop exploded on the wall. I pulled back the covers and the white comforter had a stain that looked like a blood spot maybe. I left and went to Meijer to buy a sheet set and blanket. I stripped the bed and slept with the stuff I bought. I was extremely disappointed in my stay. I stay at other IHG hotels all the and have never left a bad review.

Ronnie and the staff are always welcoming. Hotel is very clean. Rooms are comfortable. Breakfast always delicious! Check in was quick and simple. Upgrades to the lobby and rooms were very nice. The lounge and cafe were welcoming.

Moab get away

Disappointing Stay from Start to Finish

My experience at this property was consistently poor, beginning at arrival and continuing through to departure.

I was not acknowledged as an IHG member upon check-in. When I inquired about reward points, the staff seemed uninformed, stating that Platinum was the highest tier and claiming they had never heard of Diamond status.

The usual Staybridge experience was absent. There was no drinks or food happy hour available and opportunity to socialize with other guests..

Our room was not prepared for the number of guests in our party. After several unanswered calls to reception, I had to go down myself and wait 15 minutes before someone appeared to provide the extra towels and bedding.

Shockingly, ladies for hire were openly operating within the hotel. This was deeply uncomfortable, especially when entering the elevator with my children.

Dinner service was equally disappointing. The hotel had no diet soda available in the restaurant and instead offered bottles from reception—without free refills, expecting us to purchase multiple bottles as a substitute.

Breakfast was served in a dark, uninviting room with no attention to service quality. Overall, it felt like an afterthought.

The hotel appears confused, not knowing if it's a Crown Plaza or Staybridge or both.

Unexpected treatment and non-pleasant experience

During my checking in I asked for the welcoming points and have been promised by the receptionist that I will receive the welcome if points as I am a platinum member after checking out which didn’t happen

In the second day a staff member from the hotel while he was parking his car in the parking space behind the hotel scratched my car in front of me, which another bad incident
Unfortunately I was not that happy from this stay which was completely different from my past experience

On top the road construction in front of the hotel was a real issue

Poor conditions

We have always chosen Holiday Inn Express Hotels for our travel destinations or overnight travel stops. This property is not up to the standards that IGH hotels stands for. The room is old and dingy and had a musty smell to it. The decor was not appealing and needs to renovated to today’s modern style. We were very disappointed with the room even though it was an overnight travel stop, it was unacceptable and should be corrected.

A one and done hotel.

Staff were friendly and helpful, location was good. The rooms are only partially updated and the cleaning was sub par. The toilet had feces left on it the day we checked in and were extremely loud when flushed. There was a dirty towel behind one of the bathroom doors, the water pressure in both bathrooms were terrible. The shower leaked in one of the bathrooms. The couch smelled like vomit. The cabinets need a good scrubbing and the floor felt sticky. The pool area could be great but there are only three umbrellas available for a busy all day sun area. The music was way too loud and was still playing well after 12am and blasting again by 7:30am. Paying extra for a gulf view room (ours was on the 3rd floor) was trumped by the loud music and activity. I'm sure not everyone's stay had the same experience but we don't plan to come back and stay again at this hotel and don't plan to recommend it to others.
