Everyone at the hotel was very accommodating and greeted us immediately upon arrival and departure. Just very caring people. The hotel was in great shape, the only reason I gave the bathroom a lower number because it needed ne have new caulking, but otherwise loved the location, comfort, hospitality, all around great.

Worst hotel experience EVER

When I first walked into my room, there was a very unpleasant odor. My sheets were dirty and stained, the floor was dirty, and the toilet had hair and toilet paper crumbs on it. When I spoke to the cleaning staff, she didn’t speak English. Luckily, I spoke Spanish. She came into the room and cleaned the toilet with a dry washcloth and told me they only clean the bathroom with soap and water. Yuck! I had to buy my own disinfectant spray and wipes to clean the room myself. The shower curtain was dirty as well with what looked like boogers on it. I paid way too much for two nights for the room to be disgusting. Never once was I offered a new room. Wouldn’t recommend anyone stay there! It’s absolutely gross, and the breakfast was garbage. The biscuits were hard as rocks, even with the gravy. My overall experience was just horrible. I will NEVER stay here again.

I’d only stay if I had to again.

I would only stay here again if I had to. Im sad to say that there wasn’t much exciting about this hotel. The pool was cold. The doors were squeaky. The rooms werent immaculate, the staff at the counter weren’t nice.

Our hotel is the perfect choice for both leisure and business travelers. Located off I-20 at Highway 59, we are just minutes away from the educational institutes of East Texas Baptist University, Wiley College, and Texas State Technical College and 30 minutes from Shreveport-Bossier City, Louisiana. Start each day with our complimentary full hot breakfast bar and then make your way to numerous local attractions including: Josey Ranch, Caddo Lake, Lake of the Pines, the Starr Family State Historical Site, and antiquing in Jefferson.

Great option for the area; however

The hotel was nice and clean. My only complaint and the reason I gave 3 stars overall is because they started doing repairs of some sort early the next morning. We unknowingly woke up to hammering and drilling. I felt that was inconsiderate. Otherwise, nice hotel for the area.

What happened to Breakfast?

Disappointed in the breakfast. Holiday Inn Express is supposed to be the best. the refrigerator had only butter, nothing else. No yogurt and no MILK (for cereal). had to ask for coffee. No fruit! this is the worst breakfast at Holiday Inn Express I have ever experienced. The one person taking care of the breakfast area had the sniffles and probably should not have been working with food that day.

Needs renovation

Stayed 2 nights for a family wedding. Older hotel in need of serious update. Front desk staff was polite and friendly. Light in bathroom also runs the exhaust fan which was very loud. The height of toilet was very low more for children than adults. We wouldn’t stay there again even though we are IGH rewards members.

False Advertising, Great Gym, Dog Friendly

I was really excited to stay at this IHG hotel because of its wellness focus and dog-friendly policy, both of which I truly appreciated. The in-room workout equipment (although missing some items shown online, like the medicine ball and water bottle and yoga blocks) was a nice touch, and the gym itself was clean, not crowded, and had high-quality machines.
That said, the rest of the stay left me feeling frustrated and honestly, a bit taken advantage of. I paid extra for a pet package that was incomplete (missing the travel bowl and dog blanket). One of the main reasons I chose this hotel was the advertised game room with foosball and pool — which didn’t exist at all. That was incredibly disappointing and felt like a bait-and-switch.
The mornings were far from restful due to the slamming doors so hard the walls would shake. It happened every day and made it impossible to sleep in or relax.
The bathroom layout was also a miss — the sliding glass "door" right next to the bed offered no privacy whatsoever if you're sharing the room.
When I brought these issues up, the manager said they’d add 10,000 points to my account. That never happened, but honestly, I don’t plan on staying with IHG again, so “points” wouldn’t have made up for the experience anyway. At the time, I didn’t push back because I didn’t want to argue, but looking back, I feel like I was brushed off and given a hollow offer instead- Hence this review.
Overall, this stay did not live up to the promises made online, and I left feeling disappointed. I don't plan on returning.

The location was perfect, the bed was comfortable, the lighting was spot on. the bathtub had rust in it so i didn't take a shower however it was just one night. the food was good and the bar was clean and bartender was nice. some amenities were missing in the room.

I was disappointed that I had to take my suitcase down about 6 or 7 steps to get to the elevator... there should at least be a ramp!. The room was OK. It did have a fridge which is good. The bed was way too soft for my back but the pillows were better than average and the bedding was fine. I was amazed that there was no bedside light on one side of the king bed... surely this is not normal?. The lady who served breakfast was a gem! The food was cooked to order... such a pleasant surprise these days. My eggs were perfectly over easy and the potatoes were fresh and crisp. ... the best breakfast in a hotel I have had for ages ! I rarely bother to eat it if it is a buffet of tired scrambled eggs and greasy sausages sitting in a pool of fat.
