Ideally located beach resort - good getaway for both business or pleasure

I visited the Intercontinental Beach Mahabalipuram resort in early part of Feb 2017 as part of a leadership offsite. I used the business facilities and the restaurants during the stay. While the pool and gym facilities looked very attractive, I did not get a change to use them. The beach access and the exterior lighting during the evenings was very nice and provided for a fantastic ambiance. The beach is nicely accessible from the resort and is a great stress reliever even if you are there on business. The overall resort is just heavenly for vacationing. It was a very relaxing stay and made me leave with a clear intent of coming back with my family for a more fulfilling experience.

Greeted with warmth and ushered to the room with ease and quickly, clean and spacious room.
In room dining experience was delightful and timely
The breakfast spread was amazing and was a delight to taste.
The swimming pool was a nice experience even though the view to the backwater was blocked from the pool and there was a buzzing of arrangements for a pool side function later on...
A bit far from the airport and the city but that is forgotten by the view from the room

Sad Family Experience

Good overall hotel with No Family activities.
Good for business, but they have to do some extra work to attract Families.
A sad experience for my family who insisted to look for another hotel to complete their vacation. Luckily I booked for two days so I was able to move without extra losses.

Great service and facilities

We stayed 4 night in a Deluxe Sea view room. The rooms are a little dated but nice, clean and comfortable. The great thing about this property is, fantastic beach and pool area at the Bayshore and the fantastic service level we were treated with during our stay. Restaurants are all good and good choices. We really enjoyed our stay.

The hotel has a very nice ambience and the overall stay stay was quite pleasant and comfortable. The staffs are very courteous and offered excellent services.

Wonderful stay in Moorea

The hotel was breathtakingly beautiful. We loved our garden unit with plunge pool at the Intercontinental in Moorea. The room was large and spacious and the deck was almost as big as the room. We were located right next to the lobby so it was easy for us to go back and forth from the beach / pool area often. The breakfast buffet was amazing and the lunch we had was a large platter of fish that was delightfully authentic and very tasty. The staff was incredible - so helpful and genuinely nice and happy. The dolphins were great to watch when it was raining but we never got to see the turtles because of the weather stirring up the water. Overall we would recommend the intercontinental to anyone and everyone that is going to Moorea!
