Located on Doha's longest private beach and nestled in landscaped gardens, the InterContinental Doha features 14 restaurants and bars including the famous La Mar Doha, a range of recreational facilities, a free-form swimming pool, and the exclusive Spa InterContinental. The hotel's prime location is just minutes from downtown Doha and major government and corporate offices and within minutes to the Doha Exhibition and Convention Centre, City Center Mall, and Doha Golf Club.

Good bones but renovation overdue!

The grand old dame of Jimbaran Bay is at least a decade, if not two, overdue for renovation.
I understand one wing has just started renovations but it's all rather late.
Beautiful grounds but the rooms desperately need updating - the mattress was old and saggy, the credenza door felt like it was about to fall off in my hand, the minibar fridge looked like the same one that was installed when the resort opened and the bathrooms are really really showing their age.
Pools are nice but there's no adults only pool.
Staff were very good as expected of an Intercon property but lacked product knowledge and finess - some more training would help to lift them to 'consistently excellent'.
