No, I do not recommend this property.
The rooms were very outdated. No USB plugs and not enough regular plug ins. Clean enough but definitely needs a freshening up.
First morning the restaurant wasn’t open at 6 am because cook was late and I was on a schedule and had to go elsewhere and pay more. Another day it wasn’t open at 6 as well but I was able to wait that day.
Fitness center was awful with only cardio machines and not even dumbbells. Luckily I was able to drive to Planet Fitness each day but that also took an extra 30-40 minutes out of an already busy day.
The breakfast waitress was absolutely amazing and should get a big raise.
Wasn’t emailed my receipt which is now delaying my expense report which also delays me getting paid.
Overall fair experience at best.

Our guests also enjoy visiting Blank Park Zoo, Living History Farms, Adventureland Park, and the Iowa State Capitol . Pets are welcome!

Yes, I recommend this property.
Overall the experience was good. The issues I encountered were that breakfast didn’t start until 6:30 and I had to be at my destination each day by 7:15 which made me have to rush to eat.
The other issue was that when I returned to my room each afternoon the temperature had increased to 75 degrees and I was uncomfortably warm until it cooled back down.

Yes, I recommend this property.
This is one of the best IHG Holiday Inn Express properties I have ever stayed at. The rooms were comfortable and the staff was amazing. The breakfast was far better than most free hotel breakfast with good variety and quality foods.

No, I do not recommend this property.
The fitness center was unsanitary. I asked for three days in a row for disinfecting spray that the sign in the room asked everyone to use. It never got put in there making it an unsanitary environment. Had to ask for towels daily in the fitness room because they were never restocked. There was no water in the water station the last two days of my stay even after advising staff.
When my room was cleaned on day three, the garbage and towels were left in a pile outside my door for over 24 hours.
I chose this hotel, partly, because of the hot tub which was closed.
