The staff were helpful and friendly, the room was clean and spacious, there was a lot of choice for breakfast, but the 'hot' breakfast was not hot...but lukewarm at a push. I stayed 2 nights, so had breakfast 2 mornings...but the 'hot' breakfast was lukewarm both mornings, I scored the 'value' as a 4 out of five, due to the 'hot' breakfast not worth any price paid, but didn't have time to try anything else, so can't comment on the other breakfast items.

Explore one of Sydney’s oldest neighbourhoods, a quieter location on the rim of Sydney’s busy heart. Potts Point is a magical mix of elegant art deco architecture, late Victorian terraces and heritage mansions. It has a village-feel with its leafy streets. There are small laneways and hidden staircases that surprise as they unveil panoramic views of Sydney’s harbour and skyline.
This Sydney hotel is just one train stop from Martin Place and close to Sydney's flagship art galleries & museums, so whether you love to shop, browse or dine out, Holiday Inn Sydney Potts Point is your perfect base.
Let our friendly, genuine staff help create the moments that make your stay enjoyable and memorable. Kids 12 & under stay & eat free of charge at Holiday Inn Sydney Potts Point and we have spectacular harbour views.
Travel Tips:Trains and ferries around Sydney are great, easy to navigate, cheap, clean and trains are accessed right next to the hotel, though you can't hear a thing. Walking into the city only takes about 20 mins. The Rocks, Botany Bay, Manly Beach, Blue Mountains, Featherdale Wildlife Park, Cuckoo Island are all worth a visit, and I'd recommend a walking tour at the beginning of your stay...to get a feel for the area.

Yes, I recommend this property.
Staff are helpful and friendly. The room was quite, comfortable, clean and spacious. The breakfast was very nice, with lots of choice. The location for the city is great, either a 20 min walk, or a couple of stops on the train, with the station entrance next to the hotel. There's a supermarket across the road too if needed. The view of the Sydney Harbour Bridge and Opera House were an added bonus to an overall fantastic hotel. Will definitely stay here again. Thank-you

No, I do not recommend this property.
Location was great, staff were great, we arrived early from an international flight, and the staff sorted out a room within minutes. Breakfast and housekeeping were good too. The problem was with the room, the A\C didn't work, the workmen came into the room and said they'd see what they could do, but it wasn't just our room, and it still wasn't working when we left (we were there for 2 weeks), we had to sleep with the window open, which would've been fine, if it wasn't for the builders working on the community centre building over the road, starting from 07.00 in the morning, and buses and noisy cars driving past late a night.

Not 24hr room service as advertised. Food only served until 21.30. Room smelled strongly of wet dog. Room wasn't the cleanest, compared to Premier Inns. There were coffee splashes up the side of the kettle. Surfaces in the bedroom and on door handles felt sticky. No hot water at 21.40, when I arrived after a 3 hour journey!
Reception staff were polite and there's plenty or car parking.
I travel regularly on business, but unfortunately, due to the smell, and grubbiness of the room, I won't be staying there again.
