Welcome to the Greenbelt, MD - Washington, DC Area. Looking for accommodations outside the city with a convenient location?
The Holiday Inn Washington, DC - Greenbelt, MD is a full-service hotel located near Baltimore and Annapolis, and the University of Maryland in College Park. The hotel has 99 spacious rooms (which includes 6 accessible rooms. The hotel is within five miles of the New Carrollton Amtrak and Greenbelt Metro stations, which makes travel around the Washington, DC area easy.
Our hotel guests enjoy quality amenities such as an outdoor pool.
Sports enthusiasts are glad to know that we're close to Commanders Field, home of the Washington Commanders and a short Metro ride away from Nationals Park, home of the Washington National baseball team.
For our shopping enthusiasts, we are a short drive from Arundel Mills Outlet Mall and the Greenway Shopping Center. You can visit the Washington, DC area museums, memorials and monuments are conveniently accessed via the Washington, DC Metrorail system.
We have meeting rooms, ideal for small executive meetings. Complimentary high-speed, wireless internet access is available in all guestrooms and throughout the hotel.

Worst Stay Ever
No, I do not recommend this property.
This Hotel is going thru remodel again or still. the restaurant is only open for breakfast and even though they have a sign up at the front desk for a buffet, they do not offer the buffet during the week. Everything is limited and individual. When I checked into my room it sounded like they were jack hammering the room directly above me. When I called the front desk, I was told they would be stopping soon. I asked if the manager was in and was advised they would be back in 20 minutes, but after an hour and not receiving a call back I called again. The manager said they were not supposed to be doing any of that type of work and they she had just informed them of that. She never offered to move me to a different room or anything. I can see why they need the remodel as the room, and especially the restroom needs repairs. All of the Amenities were closed.

Service Request
Yes, I recommend this property.
I requested service for the room after the 1st night. The refrigerator wasn't cooling my beverages and the outlets next to the bed didn't work. when I returned to my room later that day, there was a note that said the refrigerator was operating normal and the temperature was 44 degrees. According to the Heath and Safety regulations normal operating temperature should be between 35 and 38 degrees. The refrigerator was never fixed and as far as I know the outlets were never even looked at. they never worked even after asking for service again. When I checked out of the Hotel the Manager said she would apply some points to my account but this never happened either.

Hot Tub
Yes, I recommend this property.
I wish that someone oils finally fix the issues with the Hot Tub. After traveling and walking job sites it used to be great to spend 1/2 hour to an hour in the Hot Tub to relax. The last several times it hasn’t been right. Either too cool or too much Chlorine. They keep telling me that everything is working properly and the temperature is set to 100 degrees but they need to get a water thermometer to verify that the water temperature is too low and their heater is not working correctly. Sometimes the pool is warmer than the Hot Tub.

Welcome to your home away from home. We are less than 1 mile from the University of Maryland and an 8 mile commute into Washington DC. We welcome students, their families, faculty and anyone coming to visit the home of the Terps. Sports enthusiasts will appreciate our short distance to the Xfinity Center and Capital One Field. Other nearby attractions include Six Flags and the Capital Wheel.
Business travelers lodging in our College Park accommodations will not be disappointed as we are near USDA and FDA. The DCA Washington Reagan Airport is less than 20 miles away.
Due to the COVID-19 Pandemic we are taking extra safety precautions to prevent the spread. To minimize physical contact we have eliminated our Shuttle Service.
Our accommodations will continue to offer free Wi-Fi and parking. Maintain your workout routine at our 24-hour fitness center or go for a swim in our outdoor seasonal pool. Each room is equipped with a microwave, mini-refrigerator, Keurig, 43" adjustable mount TV, numerous plug outlets and in-room safe. Yes, I recommend this property.
Everything was pretty good on this visit. the breakfast buffet has just restarted and was delicious. There was an issue with the public restrooms on the 2nd floor. the men's room urinal was not functioning and there are no paper towels or air driers to dry your hands.

Fire Alarm
Yes, I recommend this property.
The room itself was great, comfortable bed, spacious room. However, the fire alarm went off at least 10 times in the morning prompting us to leave the hotel early. The staff had no idea what was causing the alarms. There is a really loud horn in the rest room which echos tremendously. I work in the fire alarm industry and most jurisdictions do not allow sounding devices in restrooms due to that reason. The sound is deafening and disorienting.

Elevator and Spa
Elevator on the right has an issue, the Doors slam open and closed.
The Spa water temperature was not hot as was expected. The access control reader does not work properly. The Maintenance Personnel sent to help me get in had the same problem i experienced.
