Suffolk, Virginia hotel is close to the home of Planter's Peanuts.
Just off the coast of Virginia, Suffolk is a town with a large number of modern businesses in a historic setting. With our convenient downtown location, you can get to your destination quickly and easily from the Holiday Inn Express Hotel and Suites in Suffolk, VA. With Norfolk just a half-hour away, our Suffolk hotel is close to many government facilities and corporate headquarters. The Joint War fighting Center is just 16 miles from the hotel, while the military port of Portsmouth is just 15 miles away. Also nearby are a Target Distribution Center and a QVC Distribution Center, both of which are four miles from our hotel in Suffolk. The corporate headquarters for Planter's Peanuts , which was founded in Suffolk, is just two miles from our Suffolk accommodations. A premiere location offers leisure travelers convenient access to downtown Suffolk's shopping and restaurants. Our Suffolk hotel is also just two miles from the Planter's Peanuts Center , which offers a look at the history of this favorite American food. Nasty and I don’t recommend

I normally do not write reviews. Would not recommend staying here. Sketchy area. Parking area under the hotel was basically open to the public and had EXTREMELY low clearance. Guy that checked me in was on his personal phone when I arrived and acted like it inconvenienced him to get off of it to check me in. There were condoms in the room above the dresser. One out of the box and another full box. Carpet felt sticky. Around the beds were nasty. Dropped something behind the head of the bed and after looking back there I wanted to check out due to the filth but it was late at night. The room was hot. Had it set to cool and the window unit fixed to the ground wouldn’t cool the room off. No trash bags in the cans. Not a pleasant experience. Will not go back and whoever is reading this shouldn’t either.

Worst IG I’ve been to in five years

The hotel is outdated. It’s not a Holiday Inn. It is an Holiday Inn express it doesn’t even represent Holiday Inn express amenities or quality. The floors were dirty the linens and the towels were worn and torn the property is listed as a Holiday Inn with the restaurant and the lounge they have neither they have not had one for at least three years. They serve a mediocre breakfast and charge four dollars for it because they’re a holiday inn they charged for breakfast (which they say that they had to charge because they are a holiday inn)which doesn’t start till 630 most people staying here are by 6 o’clock. they also have no accommodations for anyone that is diabetic or watching their sugar as far as coffee, creamers, and other accessories go. Overall, this property needs a serious Brian change. I don’t even think it’s worthy of an IHG property.

A modern Northampton hotel within easy reach of the town centre, with a smart restaurant and excellent event facilities.
Holiday Inn® Northampton hotel is less than 10 minutes drive from central Northampton and well situated for exploring the surrounding countryside. The M1 is an eight-minute drive away, and it is less than three miles to Northampton Railway Station. You can reach London Luton Airport (LTN) and Birmingham Airport (BHX) in less than an hour by car. Buses stop just steps from the hotel and parking is free for all guests.
Pop into Northampton to browse its shops, eateries and cultural spots such as Northampton Museum and Art Gallery. Within half an hour by car from the hotel, you can explore the gardens at Woburn Abbey, tour Althorp Estate or watch motor racing at Silverstone.

No Hot Water or communication

Stayed for 3 nights between the 25th to 28th February.
On the 2nd night there was no hot water but this was not communicated by staff.
Eventually overheard that the boiler was broken and was told someone was coming to fix. They did not and there was no hot water for a shower in the morning.
Was then told that it would be fixed during the day so decided to not to move out for the 3rd night.
There was minimal hot water that evening and none again in the morning so still no shower.
When checking out I asked for some money off and was told management would contact within the next couple of days.
Still have not had any communication over 3 and half weeks later. I even sent an email to the hotel and this has been ignored.
If you like cold showers and being lied to by staff this is hotel for you. Awful service!

Not a harbor view

Reserved harbor view but half of the view was walking road, restroom and parking lot.
They said it was over booked but I arrived there around 4:30pm.

Mini-fridge had hairs in it and until 2am, guests in other room kept talking so we couldn't sleep well.
Never coming back this hotel and definitely I wouldn't recommend.

Loud and noisy

All night couldn’t sleep no to tragic and kids running around. I checked out early and lost $150 for the second night. Also breakfast was cold. Will not recommend.

Very bad experience

Every single aspect of this stay was bad, from the time we checked in to the time we checkout
It was busy there but this cannot justify the lack of services
