Renovated hotel near Woodfield Mall
Welcome to the newly renovated Holiday Inn Express & Suites in Rolling Meadows, IL. We are located 2.5 from Woodfield Mall. We welcome business and leisure guests every day visiting the Woodfield Mall, Ikea and Schaumburg area. Don't forget to fuel up with our Express Start Hot Breakfast Bar before heading for a day of business or shopping.
Our hotel features newly redesigned breakfast bar and dining room. We also offer free WIFI, parking and hot breakfast. Our fitness equipment is well equipped and available around the clock. Each guest room is equipped with a microwave, mini-refrigerator, Keurig coffee maker, 55" adjustable mount TV, plenty of electrical outlets and USB charging ports. Standard rooms feature a comfortable chaise seating area.

This was my WORST stay!! The first thing i looked at was the bathroom… there was MOLD in the shower! And there was a USED WASH CLOTH! Super disgusting! Not only that the shower curtains had boogers on it! It was just so gross!!! The price i paid to stay here was 100% NOT worth it! Please do not stay here!

Very poor service and staff had very poor attitude

Could not get any cold water. Reported problem and nothing was done which was not surprising because staff was totally uninterested and couldn't have cared less. Very poorly run hotel, no manager was ever around and front desk did not even have phone number for manager. Talking with other guests, all had the same problem. Worst experience I ever had at an IHG property

There are much better hotels in Bali

This was the first time we stayed at this hotel, as we usually stay at the Holiday Inn Express Baruna. Unfortunately, however, that hotel was full.
As this one (Sunset Road) was new, we thought it would be a good option. But it was not.
The staff, who were also new, were not nearly as friendly and helpful as the staff at Baruna. When we asked them to push the two single beds together (something most hotels will do upon request), the staff refused...complaining that it would damage hotel property.
We were also shocked to see a centipede in our room (video below)! This suggests that the hotel is not very clean. Again, we never saw this at the Baruna hotel.
The breakfast options were also more limited and less tasty than the breakfast that they have in Baruna.
Lastly, when we moved from that room to another room, I noticed that my socks and handkerchiefs were missing from my suitcase! I had not worn my socks at all as I was wearing slippers every day, and I was still using the same handkerchief that I used when I arrived (the other ones I meant to use later in my trip). When I told the front desk about it. They just asked housekeeping, who said they did not see them, and said that they don't know what happened. Terrible!
The Holiday Inn Express Baruna is amazing, and we love it there very much. I strongly recommend to stay there instead of Sunset Road when you come to Bali!

NOT The Best Holiday Inn

Upon arrival we should have turned around from the start. Hayley front desk clerk rude, did not welcome me as a member, our toilet did not flush at times, my sister’s room had BUGS and they would NOT switch rooms (vacancy available) offered to spray however my lil niece (her 5th birthday weekend) allergic. Air conditioning terrible. went out for the night returning to NO lights in the front of building. The only thing rated maybe a 8 was the breakfast.

Worst Holiday Inn Experience

This hotel is probably my worst Holiday Inn experience ever. The hotel is old and worn out. Mold in the shower, a small blood stain on the bedspread, the bathroom fan was extremely loud, the window screen had a one-inch gap, so couldn't open the window, and the refrigerator made a loud clunk everytimem the compressor came on. There was also a stain in the middle of the carpet. The elevator was also pretty dirty and rundown.
The breakfast area was equally run down, with large stains on the seats, and the hot water dispenser for tea wasn't working.
When I was checking out the front desk person barely acknowledged my issues.
Finally, when I called IHG to complain they offered some compensation in points but to date they have not been received.
