Overall excellent. Bar/lounge close down too early in the evening. No live music entertainment in the lounge. Restaurant food doesn't seem to be very attractive.

The hotel is just five minutes' drive to Taikoo Li commercial center and Chunxi Road. And convenient to other parts of city with the nearby Metro Line 2 Dongmen Bridge station.
Holiday Inn Chengdu Oriental Plaza welcomes guests with 336 contemporary guest rooms, voice mail, mini-bar, and ipod alarm clock. All rooms are exclusively equipped with double-glazing windows and selections of pillows that assure you a sweet sleep even in the dynamic city center.

Holiday Inn Hefei is located in an international brand hotel in the central business district of Hefei City. The geographical location is excellent. It is located at the intersection of Hefei Metro Lines 1 and 2 (directly connected to Exit D of Dadongmen Station). It is located at the entrance of Hefei City Pedestrian Street, and is surrounded by famous commercial circles such as Yintai Center, Baohe Wanda Plaza, Bashang Wuyue Plaza. The hotel has 296 spacious and comfortable rooms. We advocate "Chinese Wine Hospitality" and surprise service for guests. The hotel has non-smoking floors and disabled rooms. Every detail design conveys thoughtful attention to guests. Pure feather mattresses and spacious and comfortable rooms make every perfect night unforgettable.

Solid hotel, a bit outdated though. Remodeling would be a good choice. Nevertheless, staff were pleasant and helpful, breakfast was quite decent with a solid number of options, and the pool and the hot tub definitely helped when the air outside was too bad for going out.
The only problem we experienced was the broken bathroom door, that couldn't be closed. Although it sounds like a minor issue, in our case it was a biggie since we travelled with two little children who were constantly trying to go and play in the bathroom. A bit of of a nuisance right there.
Location was great, though. By foot you are 5 minutes away from the shopping district, 10 minutes away from the Forbidden City, and 15 minutes away from the Tiananmen Square. Plenty of other options as well, especially in the close vicinity that can be easily covered by taxi for a few USD.
