To secure our guests’ safety and their property, a key card is required to access the elevator to the guest room floors from 2/F-18/F. We welcome kids with open arms and help families save money with our Kids Stay & Eat Free guarantee. Kids aged 12 and under eat free at breakfast when dining with an adult. Plus to make your stay even more affordable, kids aged 12 and under stay for free when sharing their parents’ room.

Great stay and exceptional service. The staff were very courteous. Special mention to Elki (not sure about the spelling) and the lady at the executive lounge, who took care of us during check in.

A good friend recommended this hotel. It is a wonderful recommendation! The room was very clean which is most important to me. The staffs were friendly and helpful. The location is near many restaurants and walking distance to APM mall. Very close to all major transportations. I will chose to stay here again as long as the price remains fair.

From the moment we arrived, we were greeted by the very pleasant staff, and our cases taken into the lobby area for us.
Check-in was a breeze and we were located in a family room facing the happy valley racecourse.
Upon entering the room, the guest team had set up balloons and a little gift for our Daughters upcoming 16th birthday along with a message card, she was delighted.
The rooms are spacious and very clean, housekeeping is daily and very thorough.
The location of the hotel is perfect, with easy access to the MTR in Times Square (exit A) or the
'ding ding' trams or buses.
Club 28 on the 28th floor has a very relaxed atmosphere is your wanting to unwind at the end of long day exploring the city, again staff can't help enough.
Overall this hotel is a 10/10 choice when looking for somewhere to stay on Hong Kong island.

Hotel appeared to be very new, as it was stated.
However, our first assigned room smelled of cigarette smoke.

Oddly, this hotel shares the same building with another local hotel.
It is located quite close to PVG, but takes a considerable amount of time to transit with the hotel shuttle.
Food delivery is available, but nothing really close that can be reached by walking.

The worst hotel stay experience so far

Our family of four booked a family room three days in advance for one night, mainly because the hotel is close to Shanghai Pudong Airport, making it convenient to catch our flight the next morning. When we checked in at around 10 p.m., the staff clearly had not prepared our room in advance. It was only when they handed me the room key that they realized I was a Platinum member. It was obvious they hadn’t arranged anything beforehand, despite our reservation being made three days earlier.
At other IHG hotels, the staff usually prepares the room in advance and offers an upgrade if a better room is available. Here, there was no recognition of Platinum member privileges, nor were we informed about the possibility of an upgrade.
The worst part was that upon entering the room, we found that the amenities were only prepared for three people, not for four guests. When we went to the front desk to ask why, there was no apology at all—just a response saying they would quickly provide supplies for the fourth person.

Although the hotel is quite new, the soundproofing in the rooms is very poor. You can clearly hear conversations from the neighboring rooms and the noise of cars from the street.

Standing out in comparing with another premium 5-star hotel around the same area

Moving to InterContinental is the best decision I made ever in the last two days of my trip. The reason of my moving is that, many hotels including some premium ones didn't offer AC during this season (April 10th, but outside temperature is around 30 degrees and inside temperature is around 26 degrees) and InterContinental does offer controlled temperature much better and the two nights I stayed there were the most peaceful nights with great sleep. The room design is practical for family of four and food is considerable. Location wise, it is close to a famous mall and subway station.
