You can enjoy a complimentary breakfast in the contemporary great room, and dine out at lively Yi Zhong Night Market, just 15 minutes' walk from the hotel. Try local treats like fragrant beef noodles, and ask our friendly front desk staff to recommend their favourite Taiwanese dishes.
Breathe in the fresh air in historic Taichung Park next to the hotel. You can hire a boat to row across the peaceful lake and stroll past ornate pavilions on landscaped trails. Holiday Inn Express Taichung Park is close to Taichung bus and train stations, with excellent transport links around Taiwan to sights including Sun Moon Lake.

Recent Stay at Holiday Inn Express Taichung Park

As an IHG Gold Elite member I've had the chance to stay at a number of properties around the world. The Taichung Park location was well located, maintained and a good value. The included breakfast was basic, but appealing. There were several issues 1) as a Gold Elite member I had requested an upgrade to a larger room, but this was not met, 2) the design of the room was odd in that the bathroom area is bordered by a large opaque glass panel. The entire room will become bright if someone goes to the bathroom at night as the light shines easily through the glass. It sounds odd I know, but is a bit jarring when it occurs. 3) they apparently have removed any in-room amenities recently. Only water and coffee/tea are available now. 4) I was not recognized and thanked for my Gold Elite loyalty as I have experienced at other locations. 5) While they have a gym, it is beyond basic with just a few pieces of equipment.

第二次入住这家智选了，在市区里我认为性价比是最高的了！虽然乍一看入口非常的紧凑，但不要吓到了，其实上面空间非常大，在古北这么好的地段，有智能马桶电视还能投屏，早餐也非常丰富，前台很亲切，性价比真的拉满了！David很热心帮我安排了我希望的房型。社区也很好，周围日料很多随便去试吧我觉得很难踩雷。下次还来！

Unwelcoming and Noisy

Entrance and exit of the hotel are a big problem. There is a ramp to go up, very long zing-zag hard to access because of parked cars in front of it. On your way out, there are very steep stairs and you will have to push your luggage down the stairs or somehow push then along the side, and nobody will help you. If you order taxi, there is no place to park for pick up.
A lot of noise coming from local street construction works. You will not be able to sleep if your room is on that side of the hotel and management will not help you. Room does not have sound-proofing.
If you don't look Asian and don't speak Chinese, they will completely ignore you, you can stand there in front of reception and they will look through you.

Just like old wine, this hotel gets better with age

To some people, the Crowne Plaza Shanghai might have been an older hotel.
However, the rooms and facilities have been immaculately refurbished. The service is impeccable. And the Chinese restaurant services one of the best Shanghainese cuisines in town.
Definitely a great choice for business travellers!

Hotel Indigo Jiuzhai overlooks a calm, tranquil natural paradise that’s stunning no matter the season. The hotel design is inspired by the neighborhood’s “Legend of the Eagle” and also features vivid colors and patterns which showcase the Tibetan and Qiang cultures. Hotel Indigo Jiuzhai is centrally located in newest live circle in Jiuzhai Country Sichuan Province and connects to Jiu Zhai Cou, the SCENIC Spots, the Love Sea Scenic Area, Zhong Cha Gou, as well as many other beautiful sites worth visiting, and hiding the disappearing intangible cultural heritage and various of outdoor activities.
