This hotel is old and needs to be remodeled. The lobby is not appealing at all. To much deorderizer all through the halls. I would have left , I couldn’t because I had family that was handicap staying there. They needed my help. This hotel is over priced. I am very unhappy with my stay.

SCAFFOLDING AND NOISE- TERRIBLE HOTEL

It was an extremely uncomfortable stay. There was scaffolding all around the hotel and, even though we were on the third floor, workmen were walking around outside our window and the noise throughout the day was unbearable. I had requested a quiet room prior to check in.
I was not informed that there would be noisy work going on in the hotel prior to check in.
On check-in, I was told that there was scaffolding around the hotel, but was not told that we would be able to see and hear workmen directly outside our window. I was told by the receptionist that we couldn’t change rooms as the only rooms available were the ‘Super kingsize rooms’ which were only suitable for two people and there were three people in our party.
We had to end our holiday early and checked out of the accommodation as we could not bear the noise and the workmen outside our window any longer.

Surprised to see the membership was taken too casually and I didn’t feel like a member but like a guest who was at the mercy of the receptionist, suman was very courteous but the other lady I cannot remember the name the day I checked in on 21st I would say she lacked lot of customer centric approach, I understand this facility is an express but would have been nice if the room dining was there until late night I was again surprised that by 11 the hotel had no food and due to the strike and rain I had to get food from outside the basic sense of a hotel was a little lost I have been in many IHG hotels where the service was impeccable and the membership was understood unlike here if this is the same case I would choose another IHG hotel in Bengaluru the next time I visit

worst experience ever

We didn’t make at first a reservation there.
But due to Holiday Inn’s nearby unexplicable cancelation we where sent there.
The desk manager told us they were double Queen rooms. Which is not.
And the Tv was broken at our arrival.
The Holiday Inn tried finally to find us a room half and hour after sending us to this place. but the desk manager refused to cancel our booking without fees.
We certainly not recommend this place.
But due to Holiday Inn’s nearby unexplicable cancelation we where sent there.

The hotel was in disarray and dirty. The front desk was unable to assist with general inquires or requests. I have stayed at this hotel on many occasions prior to March 2026 and will not return again.

Welcome to the Holiday Inn Alexandria - Downtown in the heart of Alexandria, Louisiana. The hotel is five city blocks off of Interstate 49 resting on the banks of the Red River. The Holiday Inn Alexandria - Downtown is Alexandria's premier full service hotel. We have Crossroads Tavern, Southern Heritage Bank branch and Aesthetician and Gold Dust Studio. The hotel has 11,800 sq. feet of meeting space and is attached to Alexandria Riverfront Center; which can accommodate larger groups. Enjoy the revitalized downtown entertainment district of Alexandria within a few steps of the front door. Centrally located between Shreveport and Baton Rouge off of I 49, a little over three hours NW of New Orleans, and less than an hour South from historic Natchitoches along the Cane River.
Dine at Crossroads Tavern and enjoy a specialty southern cocktail. Or sit in the mall area of the hotel and enjoy a cup of coffee or one of our signature coffee specialty drinks from the Coffee Corner. When we got there, the woman at the front desk was very pleasant and I enjoyed speaking with her. Then, we tried to take our things on a lobby cart to our second floor room. Only one elevator was working and it was the smaller one. It took over 15 minutes for us to get up to our room because housekeeping was also using that elevator and prioritize what they were doing over the customer. We went downstairs to get a bite to eat and a drink Again. The elevator was full of people so we finally just took the stairs when we got downstairs the room was full of Masonic lodge people having a conference. All the seats were taking the food counter look closed, and the whole bar area was taken up with people so we decide to go back upstairs Which again we couldn’t use the elevator due to so many people so we took the stairs back to our room and found something to eat out of our ice chest. The public bathroom stalls were broken with no lock. The room had water spots all over the bathroom mirrors, and I suspected whether or not the bathroom was completely cleaned after the last guest there was dust in all the corners of the rooms on the floor. We decided to leave early in the morning to check out so that we could get the elevator and of course the elevator was full of people! But they were very kind and everyone squeezed in so we could get the lobby cart full of our luggage into the elevator When we went to check out the front desk said their computer was down! Finally, I booked this room under the app and it said the room was $118 a night and I was charged 217. I did not confront them because I signed my name agreeing to the price without thinking until I saw it on my credit card. I do not recommend this hotel.

Worst experience at an IHG Hotel

Although I had an email with the confirmation and accurate dates for my hotel stay in March, the receptionist said she could not check me in because on her end, it was listed as an arrival in November. I shared my IHG email and text messages with her, and she said I had to call IHG to handle the matter. They confirmed my information, and she still refused to check me in until they called her directly. She was rude and unprofessional. When I placed the IHG representative on speaker to talk with her, she fussed at him and told him that IHG needs to do better because it wasn't her fault. Then she gave me a room by the stairwell and it smelled of smoke. Also there was an oily handprint on the wall near the painting and the room was not cleaned well. I requested another room and, by this time, she was obviously not offering me the best in customer service. She announced loudly in the lobby in front of other guests that the room did not smell of smoke, and she needed hotel staff to remake the room to be sold to another customer. I placed several calls to IHG and was transferred numerous times with no clear resolution.

This was the worst experience I have ever had at a Holiday Inn Express. There was a huge line to check in due to the hotel being understaffed. They only had one employee working and it took around 40 minutes waiting in line to check in. Once we made it to the room, it was filthy. There was a sticky substance on the floor by the sofa and the restroom floor was filthy as well. Had to wait for the one employee to find time to come to the room to mop. I had to wake up early the next day to attend an event and was only able to get a 5 hrs of sleep due to having to wait to check in and having to wait for the room to be cleaned. We asked for another room, but employee stated they had no other rooms available. I will never stay at this hotel again. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. They need to hire more employees.

Rooms Not ready for check in

I had a reservation for a business trip.
I arrived at 6:53pm, and they did not have any rooms that were cleaned yet.
Their initial response was, "I'm sorry, but we don't have anything ready yet". That was it.
Only when I pushed did they try to offer something else, of which they did find a room, nothing like the one I had reserved, but I couldn't be picky since I had been traveling all day and just wanted a shower and bed.
During the course of my stay, I overheard similar conversations each day with the front desk and other customers that rooms were not ready/cleaned in time for check ins.
I arrived at 6:53pm, and they did not have any rooms that were cleaned yet.
Their initial response was, "I'm sorry, but we don't have anything ready yet". That was it.
Only when I pushed did they try to offer something else, of which they did find a room, nothing like the one I had reserved, but I couldn't be picky since I had been traveling all day and just wanted a shower and bed.
