My family and I planned this beach vacation during May 1st holiday long before and it is a once every year event for us. We booked a sea view room from official app, hoping to enjoy a great view of sunshine and waves and beach. However after I checked in, this sea view room is just on 3rd floor and it is a pool view with a lot of noise coming from the kids down there. The manager insisted the room is the best they can offer and there is no such thing in their hotel to be a real sea view room. It is not the end of frustration. The air conditioning system is operating weirdly as it does not know when to stop cooling down, even the room temperature is reaching far below the configured value, making the room a freezer unsuitable for human activity. My kid caught a cold the first night. And I had to manually turn on and off the AC to maintain acceptable temperature. All staff seemed lack of training and respect for guests. Room service ignored my Do Not Disturb sign and kept banging my door to deliver an apple and an other fruit I couldn’t recall as manager’s apology after I complained about the room view issue. Managers standing at the entrance of breakfast buffet talked loudly to each other complaining about guests that they described as cunning and greedy. Room wasn’t ready the time we checked in with only two pillows and other stuff while I clearly made the reservation to be a family of three people. Not to mention the lack of quality of food and beverages. It is the first IHG restaurant that offers me coupons of beverages and delivers only soft drinks. Terrible experience ever at any beach side hotel.
