Expensive bag taken from hotel
No, I do not recommend this property.
This is an average state suite and is OK in terms of the building. However, I left a bag for a moment which was taken by someone in the hotel.
Things happen and I should’ve kept better watch over it however nobody would even help try to track it down or see what happened despite not much time passing, despite security cameras and footage right over where it was taken, etc.
I’m an ambassador w others, and diamond with IHG, this is the first time I’ve ever had something taken and such a poor experience with nobody trying to help. So, stay across the street.

Our guests will experience true hospitality that has earned our 4.5 star rating from all of our wonderful staff members in each department. We are a prime location for travelers being right off of exit 226 for the Pennsylvania Turnpike I 76 and less than 2 miles off of I 81, exit 52 Middlesex. Located between the major cities of Harrisburg and Gettysburg, and approximately 35 min. away from Hershey Park, we are ideal for both business and leisure travelers. Carlisle hosts some of the biggest car shows in the world 3 miles away at the Carlisle Fairgrounds that run from late spring to early fall. We are also home to the Army Heritage Museum, which offers educational tours daily. Our local cuisine is within 5 miles of our hotel. In the heart of town you will find Dickinson College, making us a great location for both student families and alumni alike. Traveling for business? We are located conveniently across the street from Ahold-Delhaize corporate building and within 10 minutes of many of the local warehouses. Our facility is 100% smoke free and we offer free HSIA to all our guests. Our hotel has both standard rooms as well as suites, all of which contain microwaves, hair dryer and mini refrigerators. No, I do not recommend this property.
I arrived at 9:20pm. 2 people at front desk. one girl watching videos on her phone - and a man on the phone taking reservations. The girl that was there said her computer would take too long to turn on so I should just wait for the other man to finish his call. I waited 10 mins for the man to Finish while the girl returned to watching her videos while standing at her terminal in front of me.
Room was supposedly checked in in advance, but someone gave the room away. So the reservation was there, but keys were given to someone else for the room. So it took a while for them to find another room.
Shower fixtures were filthy and tub doesn’t drain.

Dirty, dated and smells of cigarettes
No, I do not recommend this property.
This hotel was a big disappointment. As an titanium member of SPG and a elite IHG I’ve seen a lot of hotels. This is one of the worst. It reeks of cigarettes in the hallways. The shower had so much rust in it it was gross. A check and staff was not professional as they were joking with each other while I was trying to check in.

We are certain that you will relax in our comfortable accommodations, and enjoy our central location near the area’s many businesses and most popular attractions. We are conveniently located off of Route 581 and Interstate 81 . We are located 15 minutes from Carlisle and Harrisburg.
Which means you can get to the Carlisle Fairgrounds or Government Offices within minutes. We are located in the middle of Chain Restaurants like Buffalo Wild wings, Longhorn Steak House, Applebee’s and Olive Garden as well as Wegman's and shopping centers.

Dated and dirty
No, I do not recommend this property.
This hotel is dated and dirty. It used to be another chain until Holiday Inn bought it and tried to fix it up. They didn’t do a good job. The room was dirty and old. Access to the plugs was difficult. The bathrooms were dirty and when I turned on the shower, the handle came off in my hands. The lights are too dark and it was very difficult to see. Enter from the rear otherwise you’ll have to carry your luggage downstairs to check in. Stay elsewhere

No great shakes and 40 bucks for what?
I've stayed at this property many many times over the last few years. As a Spire member I spend over a hundred nights a year with IHG properties. They don't do much for Spire members and now this Crowne Plaza wants you to pay $40 to use the club level Lounge. I continue to use this Crowne Plaza cuz the location is convenient for where I need to be. However if there was another chain nearby I would have to consider staying there.

Spire Elite member - skip this property
No, I do not recommend this property.
I hear this hotel has had management problems and may close. In fact it's not listed on some of the sites as an IHG property. As a spire elite member I stay over 150 nights per year. I was promised an upgrade from an email they sent me in advance of check-in. It did not materialize and I found myself in a regular room as is usually the case at IHG properties. My keys were missed programed two times making me go to the room and back to the desk, with my luggage, to get the situation corrected. The TVs reception was lousy and frequently cut out. The staff wasn't particularly helpful and it was only one guy at the desk anyway. The parking deck is under construction and is destroyed and difficult to find your way in and out of. There are potholes so large it bottomed out my car even going slowly.

Yes, I recommend this property.
Our SUV which is a regular truck not anything huge hit the clearance bars in the garage. The rooms were so dark it was difficult to see as well as the hallways are not well lighted. The power ports are across the room so you cannot charge your cell phone excetera on the bedside table. This makes it hard to use your phone as an alarm should you need to jump up to turn it off and answer it while it's charging across the room. We didn't have a refrigerator which would have been appreciated. Also as a Spire elite member I expect to generally have a bottle of water or something at check-in which was not made available here.
