I had booked an accessible room as my wife has serious mobility issues. When I arrived I confirmed that the room was as requested and was assured that it was,
The bathroom was anything but an accessible one. There was a low rise tub with a bar to assist on getting in, Therefore a person with a mobility issue would have to step over the approximately 18 inch lip of the tub to get in. There was no bath chair or bar for stability in the shower other than a bar to assist getting up from a bath. The last thing a disabled person could do is get up from a bath.
This was not an appropriate assessable room.
I will not stay in this hotel again on future visits to Kelowna.
