Welcome to our spacious Suffern, NY, hotel near Harriman State Park! Our location just off the I-287 puts you in an ideal position to enjoy the best of our beautiful area.
Mahwah in New Jersey is only a few minutes away, and New York City is an easy 30-mile drive from our hotel. Many of New York’s natural spaces are within reach of our hotel, including Bear Mountain, Harriman State Park, and Dater Mountain Nature Park.
When you’re not out exploring our local treasures, enjoy the amenities at our Suffern hotel. Our onsite restaurant and bar offer fresh, farm-to-table cuisine, craft cocktails, beer, and wine. Long drive? Long flight? Not sure where your'e going or what you're experience will be like? Anxiety gone if you're going to stay at the Crowne Plaza Hotel Suffern-Mahwah. Taking that left into the wrap-around driveway you already know that a treat is in store. Lovely grounds, already know people care. Lobby elegant, greeted as if a long-lost friend, in your room within a short time, nicely decorated, immaculate, up to date, test the bed and find it's perfect! Can't ask for more.

Home away from Home

We went to see the Ball Drop in Manhattan for New Years and needed a reasonable hotel to stay in.
This hotel was very neat, room was very clean and felt upgraded. We had two queen size beds and a large bathroom with Jacuzzi tub. It was very clean and so nice to relax in. They do have shuttle services to the Ferry terminal but we drove our own car for various reasons. Parking was crowded but it was New Years weekend. It was very nice staying there. If Manhattan is too pricey to stay in, This is a really good choice.

Thank you for the review of your recent stay with us. I am sorry to hear of the issues that you experienced while you were here with us. It appears you were with us when we had to escort a guest room from the property for smoking in the room. We take our guest security very seriously and we addressed this incident as soon as we were alerted to it. The smoke alarms are designed to go off in the event that there is enough smoke that triggers the sensor. Our alarms are all tested every six months. I hope if you are in the area again in the future you will give us another opportunity to provide a great stay.

Clean and comfortable

Booked for a quiet solo escape and it was sufficient for my needs. The hallway was a bit noisy, but the room itself was very comfortable and everything was very clean. No complaints.

Must get better pillow and fix AC

Great location, clean modern hotel, but they have horrible, horrible pillows. Stuff with shredded foam, the cheapest I have ever seen. The firm is like a marshmellow and the soft is like an empty sack.
A/C control on wall not lin ked to A/C unit and doesn't work.
Staff knows all this but must follow "corporate policy"

Thank you for taking the time to let us know about your stay. We are truly sorry that you did not like the pillows that we have. From time to time we have to do maintenance on our A/C units in which the wall thermostat needs to be disconnected so that while any problems are being fixed the A/C can still be used. Again we would like to thank you for your feedback and hope to get better in any areas that are not up to our guest's standards.

We stayed at this hotel the night before flying out of Detroit on a trip. The park and fly option was convenient and easy to use. Room was comfortable, and the rapid checkout was helpful, as we departed early in the morning.
