Enjoy modern amenities at our hotel in Huber Heights, Ohio.
The Holiday Inn Express & Suites Dayton-Huber Heights hotel is in a prime location near I70 and I 75, we're just minutes from area companies and attractions. The hotel is only seven miles from the Dayton International Airport. Our corporate travelers, will enjoy our 24-hour Business Center with computer, fax, and copy services, and free high speed wireless Internet.
We are located in close proximity to Aida, Bowser-Morner, Inc., ABF Freight, Trimble and Wright Patterson AFB. Our hotel is also a good choice for leisure travelers, as they can attend shows at the Victoria Theater or the Rose Music Center, walk through the historic Oregon District, ice skate in RiverScape MetroPark or visit Wright State, Dayton and Wittenberg Universities. Busted Rooms, Funky Smells, and unappetizing breakfast

There was a rough odor from walking into the main lobby, elevator and into the 3rd floor hallway.
After check in, one of our rooms wouldn’t even lock at the door. We were assigned a new room. The lady who helped us was knowledgeable and hospitable.
The TVs in rooms didn’t work, some of the USB charging ports in walls were not working, and the HVAC fell like it was just pulling in outside air. Walls were paper thin and you could hear people in the hallways and through the walls. The fridge in one room was running loud like it was on its last leg.
The breakfast had minimal food out or being replenished. It also looked very questionable.
If I were staying on vacation for longer than the day or two, I would have found a different hotel.

If you are staying with us for a night or a month you will enjoy that each of our guestrooms are two room suites equipped with a sofa sleeper, work area, two televisions, a Keurig coffeemaker, refrigerator and microwave. The staff was not responsive to complaints. They did not reserve the room we have already paid for. They gave us a room that was not comparable and had a leak soaking the carpet. Our car received a large scratch after drop off by the valet. We have repetitively brought concerns to management’s attention but no one is responding within promised timeframes.

A joke of a stay in Anaheim

I will say I stayed here last year and this HIE was marginal, this time it went off the deep end to worst one I've stayed in for many years! When we arrived, I always request a room on the top floor, none was available even though I booked 2 months before and requested that. The front desk person had been there 3 days, and the manager had been there 5 days (that told me everything very quickly). Got to the room and it was missing a chair to relax in and the TV didn't work. Found out they new it didn't work, but put us in the room anyway. Everything just went down hill from there, we had to beg for milk and yogurt to be in the fridge for breakfast they ran out of eggs in the building and sausage 3 of the 6 breakfasts we ate there. there was dirt on the floors of the hallways the ENTIRE time we stayed there. There were so many other things that were bad I could go on for too long. They were going to give me a discount and 5000 points for all the problems, but nothing happened (as expected). In truth, they should sell this one to a much lower brand ( I know I will never be back!

The gym had an extremly toxic rubber smell, there was no ventilation at all, it smelled like as if they had just installed new rubber tiles with some heavy glue, or maybe it had to do with the huge crate they had placed in the gym and whatever was inside of it. Anyone working out there under these conditions would have most likely fainted. Front desk man asked me how I found the gym, i politely told him about the smell and that he should check it, i used a low voice so that others who were in the front desk area at that time would not hear it, his response came in a loud voice and with a condescending attitude: "your are the first one to tell me that". So, no workout for me, and instead the memory of a bad smell and a bitter employee. I want to point out that the morning staff was very friendly and professional (hence the two stars for staff).
Coffee maker is placed at a height that only giants can reach, with the cable tightened to the back so you can't even move it. No way to get coffee! Why even bother put a coffee maker in the room?!
Shuttle: This was my third time at this hotel (and last time for sure). there's always been issues with the shuttle. This time they did have shuttle service, however, it's once every hour and they tell you to be there 10 minutes before the hour to make sure it won't leave without you... that's not convenient for an airport hotel.
A/C: I had it on 70 degrees all night, in the morning everything was damp, including my clothes and the bathroom tile floor, which made it very slippery.
After my bad encounter with the front desk man the evening before, I did not even bother tell them.

This hotel was not worth the money at all. I will make sure to choose a different hotel whenever we are in the DTW area again. The bed has to be at least 25 years old. The hotel itself has to be 50 years old and you can tell! Please take my advice and stay at the other Holiday Inn that is .02 miles away. It is worth the extra $20.
