Welcome to the newly renovated Candlewood Suites NE Stafford. We offer rooms with modern amenities a countertop stove, fully equipped kitchen with all the utensils you might need, a microwave, and a full-size refrigerator. You can easily do your laundry any time of the day (or night) in our courtesy laundry room, you can also buy detergents, Clorox and fabric softener at our convenient front desk store. Please enjoy our well-equipped gym open 24 hours a day, even on the weekends!!

The hotel staff was an accommodating. We didn’t have any hotel water for the first day and on the second day we had no hot water.

Hotel staff was unaccommodating, when we checked in, they didn’t tell us that the water was shut off at the hotel we only noticed once we’re already checked in and up to our room. They continue to tell us that the water will be back on within a few hours. On the second day, we had no running water until the afternoon and there was only cold water running. I had my daughter with me. We were on a trip to the rodeoWe were only in town for two days and so by the time we checked out on the second day, we had no hot water running. I’m a hotel staff would not would not respond on a refund or the management wouldn’t contact us back. They were rude and unaccommodating and I wouldn’t recommend this hotel to anybody that’s traveling with their family or traveling. If it was a last resort situation, I would sleep in my car. Don’t book here.

Sleepless nights, thin walls, zero response. Exhausting stay.

Noisy neighbors all night. Limited staff (one) onsite, zero assistance with problem. Repeat performance second night no help. Terrible. Drove 8 hrs to get there. Booked to get rest before a busy day. Had to turn the bathroom fan on at 4 am! just to get some sleep after two conversations w front desk. Terrible. Worst part was that the exact same thing happened the next night with zero resolution. Terrible. No manager on duty, no manager on call, nobody contacted me the next day to resolve. Worst hotel stay ever. Do not stay at this hotel.

Being located 7 miles from the Bismarck Municipal Airport (BIS) and 5 miles from the Bismarck Event Center, makes our interstate location ideal. Light as day at night in my room!

I recently stayed in room 327 and could not sleep because the room was light as day during the night. This room was recently remodeled and there is a clear design conflict between what was planned for the window curtains and tv/dresser. You can see the original intent was to extend the curtains past the edge of the window to provide for a dark room. However, even though the valance and anchors were installed well past the edge of the window, the curtain tracks stopped well short and left a big gap for exterior lights to shine in the room.
I just hope all the rooms don't have this flaw as this is a deal breaker for me in my travel lodging.

Close to local attractions and businesses, the Hotel Indigo® Chicago Vernon Hills hotel is perfect for any trip, business or pleasure. To put it plainly, our rooms are “huge,” each with its own sitting area, and our staff is passionate about providing each and every guest with personalized service. The nearby Cuneo Mansion and Gardens serve as inspiration for our hotel’s artwork, and the whole space evokes an upscale feel, with a front desk that occupies a two-story lobby: expansive, but not at all unwelcoming. The indoor heated pool is relaxing, and our martini bar serves up 25 special versions of the cocktail.

Nice room, no way to recharge portables

while the hotel is elegant, and the room was quite nice, including real coffee mugs and glass glasses, there were just a couple things that lowered the satisfaction of the experience. the sink ONLY had hot water, ice machines did not work on the floors and nobody mentioned nor was there a sign to inform) this was the case. but most of all, not a single USB port was to me found in the rooms, halls, or dining area. The hotel did not offer or sell adaptors (imho being one of those little "helper" things to offer the busy traveler). THis is NOT a new hotel or chain to the IHG family, and in this 21st century borders on unforgivable.
all other aspect were good to great, but the USB thing overshadows the pluses.

Do not book your stay here horrible place

Do not book your stay at this hotel it is absolutely disgusting. The staff is rude and uninviting. The pool area is littered with beer bottle caps and the floor is extremely slippery. The tiles in the pool and jacuzzi look like they have never been scrubbed since the place opened. There is all kinds of crud built up on the bedroom remotes. Also black mold was spotted in several areas throughout. I do not know how this place is allowed to stay in business it seems very unsafe and unhealthy.

recently remodeled but poor quality

Im a big fan of Candlewood however, this property has been under construction for a year or more however, the construction company has done a very poor job of remodeling the motel. everywhere are paint drips on the floor the walls with large cracks. They built the bathroom vanity so close to the toliet one cannot barely sit down. the bathtub had a large patch in the bottom and the walls had patches all over the room and it appears that amateurs done the work. They were painting the lobby ceiling while i was staying and had paint drips all over their brand new tile flooring. All of the bathroom fixtures were loose. We had a decent stay. We love the fact that our small dog can stay with us however, in the future we will look for alternative places to stay.

property needs attention

the TV did not work in our original room. Mallory at the front desk was quite apologetic and moved us to an adjacent room right away. The faucet in the sink dribbled water and the HVAC unit vibrated. We choose to stay at IHG properties because they're overall consistently clean, comfortable, and in good working order. This property was not.

We drove 60 miles to stay here because it had a large pool and hot tub. We arrived to find out both were closed. Absolutely the only reason for staying at this location. Not one staff member seemed to care. Not any recognition as to the pool being closed except on the entry to the pool. Nothing on website, outside doors or mention from staff. We wanted a refund or credit to stay at a different time when it was fixed. Not one staff member even cared including the manager. I wouldn’t recommend this place to anyone
