Customer Service - Hit and Miss

That afternoon as we arrived to check in - I was tired from the travel and it was explained to me by staff our room was not ready yet that the hotel had quite a few quests the previous night. I arrived a half hour after the regular check in time of 3 pm and was surprised with the news.
The next morning I decided to take some breakfast to my room, the staff front desk assisted me to bring cutlerly to the room and that was much appreciated; he also ensured the pool hot tub was working properly and requested maintenance attend to it as my family could not get it working.
Overall, I appreciated the breakfast. The hotel parking seemed scarce and did take some extra care to find a secure parking spot.

The state hotel multiple times, If you do not have a car, there’s nothing within walking distance except for red lobster that’s really bad.
You’re my last day I had very large cockroaches my room, so my company moved me to another hotel.

Terrible internet

In 2025 it should be criminal to provide internet this slow at a hotel. Can’t use any streaming service without buffering every 30 seconds and video calls are out of the question. Would not stay here again for that reason alone

The Candlewood Suites West Springfield hotel's location makes it easy to get to destinations because we are located near the intersection of I-91 and I-90, and less than 30 minutes from three different airports. The hotel's setting in West Springfield is perfect for all business travelers. Guests staying at the hotel have access to multiple large businesses like Baystate Health, MassMutual, Mercy Medical Center and countless more. Also he greater Springfield area is home to more than 15 universities and colleges. If leisure is the reason for your stay, the hotel's location is near Six Flags New England, one of the largest theme parks in the region, the Basketball Hall of Fame, Eastern States, MGM Casino and serveral museums including Dr. Seuss. Horrible employee and horrible service

Upon my arrival, I had to leave for the girl at the desk to decide she was done with her personal phone call before she would even check me in then on top of that I was only there for 2 1/2 hours before being kicked out because my one year-old son was walking back-and-forth on the floor at about eight or 830 that night When we had just got upstairs from being in a pool. She harassed me and called my room three times in 15 minutes stating that other guest were complaining of the noise over their head when I went downstairs because I was on the second floor. My room was over the lobby and there are no other rooms in in close proximity to be able to have a complaint about noise over anyone’s head I feel as though I’ve been discriminated again because I have a child

The hotel is conveniently located in downtown. However the accommodations were spartan at best. Got a king suite with a good view, but with sparse and dated furniture, one small bathroom with a toilet seat that would not stay up, a beat-up small fridge, no cups for water or coffee, and no additional sink. The large fitness center was excellent, but was incredibly crowded in the early morning which leads me to believe that it might be rented out to another nearby hotel. Common areas were also plain and dated. This stay was disappointing and not what I have come to expect from HIE.

Terrible Service & Noisy

I recently stayed as a Diamond Member with some friends. The room was very basic and had limited storage for luggage / towels. The bathroom size is very small to the point where it is difficult for a person to be in it. The AC needs to be cranked or the carpet would be wet and give a damp smell to the room.
I had requested an upgrade and it was not provided to then have a family arrive next to us with screaming children at 1am. We all woke right out of our sleep and I tried to use the phone in the room to call down but it didn't work so used my cellphone and after two attempts someone at reception answered. The whole facility was under construction throughout the week, painting, pool maintenance etc. Upon checkout no one greeted me or said goodbye, they were occupied on their phones.
Overall very bad experience but it was on the beech so there is that.
