Fantastic Hotel-Couldn't have been better!

The Intercontinental was an absolutely fantastic top notch hotel!!
The location cannot be beat. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Russell at the help desk especially! The staff at the door were also super friendly.
The room was one of the prettiest mot comfortable hotel room we've been in with very high ceilings, extremely comfortable beds and is so beautifully decorated-feel like we could have been in Paris! And all brand new.
The rooftop bar was super chic and fun and the breakfast in the morning was fabulous.
Needless to say, will be back every time we are in Indy!

Sewage Room SO GROSS

I have tried numerous times to reach out to management to discuss the terrible experience we and at this hotel and i received no response. They apparently do not care so I will post this publically.
Dear Holiday Inn Express Management,
Hello, my name is xxxxxx, and I would like to speak with the General Manager regarding our recent stay on Saturday, April 12.
We arrived late that evening after a long day of volleyball, looking forward to a clean and comfortable room to rest and prepare for the next day. Unfortunately, we encountered several serious issues that significantly impacted our experience.
Upon arrival, we found the toilet was gurgling and making unusual noises. After my daughter attempted to flush it, the water rose dangerously high, accompanied by a foul odor that filled the room. We attempted to call the front desk but found the room phone was missing. Given the late hour, we made the mistake of not going down to the front desk, and I ended up unable to sleep due to the overwhelming smell and fear that the toilet might overflow during the night.
By morning, there was brown water on the bathroom floor, which we did our best to clean up ourselves. We informed the front desk, but were told no maintenance staff was available, and there were no alternate rooms for us to use—even just to shower. The only option offered was to use the facilities in the pool area. While the front desk attendant was polite, the situation was far from acceptable.
After breakfast, we returned to find muddy footprints in the room and a plunger left outside the door. It appeared someone had entered to attempt a fix but had left behind an even bigger mess.
We were credited $50, which I appreciate, but I feel this does not adequately reflect the level of inconvenience and discomfort we experienced. We paid for a room that should have provided a clean, functional bathroom and a restful night—neither of which we received.
I would appreciate the opportunity to speak with you directly about this matter. Please feel free to reach out at your earliest convenience.

Roaches in the Room, Awful Breakfast.

I’ve stayed at this IHG multiple times as I regularly travel to Ripley for work. The past 2 stays I’ve found multiple roaches and other bugs in my room. I reached out to IHG and was told that management would contact me but no one ever reached out. Also, one of the worst Holiday Inns Breakfasts I’ve ever had consistently over the 4-5 times I‘ve stayed here. Will be staying somewhere else when I’m in Ripley for now on.

The breakfast was good, crispy bacon and decent scrambled eggs. I paid extra for the king suite with the extra couch. However, the extra space had no lighting at all, making it useless for our friends to gather in. Waste of money.

Towels shortage

This is a nice place to stay. Unfortunately there is a supply shortage of towels. They fail to provide enough towels for 2 people each day. One must go to front desk every day and get the missing towels. Make sure when you check in, they actually activate your key card. We had to return to front desk to get key to open door after just checking in. Not busy, we were only people checking in but staff failed to activate key cards.

Not your average HI.

Face value it looks like all the rest. The room we had had stains all over the carpet. The pillows were not good. Usually there is a better selection of pillows
Told front desk about the stained carpet and there was no real concern about building appearance.
Good location tho for airport. First site I have been in that I had to use a parking pass. Kinda weird.

BEWARE Poop, Mold, Mildew, Condom, Trash PREVIOUS Guests and LIES from STAFF

BEWARE of Body Fluids from Previous Guests.People can get DISEASES and very sick from Poop, blood and body fluids. Have Photos of the Poop Fecal on Wall and Toilet paper. Mold and Mildew on Shower Curtain and Tub/Shower. Floor was so new filthy socks were dirty FILTHY. Housekeeping Supervisor B said "FILTHY" on her Rag and complained that Girl did NOT clean the Room! AC Filter was so dirty it was blowing out dust. Bottle Cap under Furniture. Condom Wrapper on Floor by Nightstand, Alarm Clock static due to short. Staff including "Manager" and Housekeeping Supervisor LIED to Me and then to IHG due to Ruckersville Location NOT complying with QA Standards of Brand and Health Department Requirements. Food was left in Fridge, trash under furniture, Blood on Desk. People can get DISEASES from Poop, blood and body fluids. Staff lied about Credits and Refund. DISGUSTING, UNPROFESSIONAL, DISHONEST, INAPPROPRIATE and against Law and Brand Standards. This should switch to Motel if can not properly clean between Guests to ensure Safety, Liability and basic cleaning standards and Health Department Requirements of Operations
