Very loud!!!

Put us on the first floor adjacent to 2 exit doors. Very loud with doors opening and closing at all hours. Did not like being on the first floor, but was told the hotel was sold out.
Neighbors were up very late, and the walls are thin. Sounded like they were throwing a basketball against the wall.
No laundry on site.
Room was average.
2 irons, but no hair dryer.
Breakfast was grab and go, so go early!

I did stay one night but it was sufficient to have my survey conclusion, the blankets were extremely dirty, from the 2 beds. I was able to find a non-dirty spot to get some rest. I did not report it to front desk it was very late.
Since my king bed size was not granted, I was able to get a compensation breakfast for next day. The front desk coupon was subject of a second revision at the cafeteria. after a call they decide to give me access.

Lots of issues

Shuttle was not available till 11pm as indicated on website, which cost me time and extra money. If I had known your shuttle was not available, I would not have booked with you.
Check in took forever as it was late with one person but 4 people waiting to check in.
Main light and bathroom main light did not work.

Other guests entering at 1,2,3 am woke me up because they were so loud. Only till they got into their room but still sleep disruption was a problem.

Rude manager

Business travel, 2 night stay, booked with government rate for the first night and the next night (Friday) was at the regular rate. I booked this on-line. When I got to the property and was checking in the front desk needed to add my employer information. I have stayed here before with the government rate, so I expected this be in the system. The manager came out and questioned me if I was really traveling for business, she wanted proof as in a copy of my conference registration. And she said that since I had booked for 2 people that was not the case for government bookings. I did not know I needed all of this information because I provided my work ID, just as I did last time. I traveled 150 miles 1 way, so I brought someone with me. Manager was so rude, I almost left. Other than the suspicious manager, this property is well located for me with plenty of food options nearby. And the room was clean and comfortable. Sorry to say I will not be back.

Hotel under renovations

My experience was tainted because they're in the process of renovating the hotel. For some reason they thought it was ok to put me in a room that had lots of blemishes and they had a number of issues that prevented me from using things like the television.
Not entirely sure why they allowed me to rent out the room. It wasn't a good experience at all.

Very disappointing stay

I am a loyalty member abd stay exclusively at IHG hotels. This was by far the worst of our stays. We were in the Detroit area for a family funeral traveling with my 86 year old disabled mother. When we came back to our room around 10:30PM, we noticed the remote for the TV was missing. I called down to the front desk and no one answered. We then just decided to go to sleep without TV. The night shades (electronic) were disconnected. I again called down to the front desk and no one answered. We fell asleep (barely) with the lights of the neighboring movie theatre shining in our room. I told the front desk person in the morning and although she was sympathetic, the hotel did absolutely nothing about it. Stay right next door at the Staybridge 100% better!

Exceptional staff

The best part of my stay was the staff contributions! The night clerk and morning clerk both were customer oriented! Made me feel welcomed from first introduction. I was really not so pleased about the esthetics of the room quality. There definitely need some improvements. Where the carpet and hard floor meets someone tried to paint to cover up. The light cover in the restroom is peeling of rust. There is piece of block above the AC unit by the window that is not installed in any way and fell on kid foot. When you lean on it, it just falls off. The hook holder for the dryer was not stable. Soon as pull bag off the holder comes off completely. The pool was not cleaned AND the jacuzzi just did not come on at all!! It was so much that I was just in awe that the expense was not worth it. I felt as if I was in a motel if it wasn’t for the great staff service. But the most unpleasant observation was there was holes in towel(s) more than one that we received. How is this still being used?? It was a quick trip for me to visit family but I know for sure I will not be returning to this hotel due to the standards of quality you guys are ok with. Nothing I am saying is based on opinion but strictly facts! I was in room 410. If management was to go in that room today, everything that I have mention would be true to statement!

The Holiday Inn Express Evansville-West is conveniently located to offer easy access local businesses and attractions in southern Indiana. We are Evansville's closest hotel to Mt. Vernon, IN an industrial hub and port on the Ohio River. The Evansville Regional Airport is approximately twenty-five minutes away. Business travelers benefit from our proximity to many nearby businesses such as SABIC, BWXT, AstraZeneca, Bristol-Meyers Squibb, CountryMark, ADM, Green Plains, GAF, Centerpoint Energy, and The Port of Indiana -all of which are just a short drive away. Parents and fans will appreciate that this Evansville hotel is within 1.5 miles of the University of Southern Indiana and within 5 miles of the University of Evansville, the Ford Center arena, the Victory Theatre, and Old National Events Plaza. Be sure to ask about our university discounts. Leisure travelers will have no problem finding something to do for the whole family while visiting us. Evansville offers many activities and attractions, such as the Ohio riverfront, Mesker Park Zoo, and multiple museums -including the LST-325 and Evansville Wartime Museum. There are also many restaurant options, a movie theater, and shopping centers nearby. We do not allow pets; however, trained/certified service animals (canines) are always welcomed. Holiday Inn Express Evansville-West is a smoke-free facility.

Very nice sized room

The room was nice and big and the TV was large. Only one chair for sitting, a small sofa bench was also in the room. Closet was big but not oversized for 2 people for two days of dressy clothing. The lighting was very odd, switches turned on unlikely areas. The bedside lights were quite bright and no light switch for any bedroom light, all must be physically turned on and off. TV had a good clear picture but no paper info as to how to work the TV nor info on amenities the hotel offered--- not much info given out BUT got you checked in quickly !

NOT AS ADVERTISED!

We were very disappointed in our stay with Holiday Inn in Chattanooga. We were not informed that there was a daily charge for parking. Members receive no discount for this or pass, everyone pays for parking. We also had requested our rooms be near each other since we had a child wanting to walk over and visit grandparents who were also staying with us. They put us on completely separate floors and said that corporate was who we must have spoken to, and they made no note of this in our agreement. (Not our fault) They made no efforts to fix this, even when we offered getting a smaller or cheaper room, just something so we could be near one another. They also didn't explain to us that 10% of your room will be charged to your card as an insurance. So be prepared for this as well. There was very little that was as advertised... Being an IHG reward member is a joke for this facility. They couldn't have cared less about us being a member and didn't want to hear any of our concerns over the blatant contrast to what we were told over the phone. Another family was upset beside us because corporate had told them that this hotel was pet friendly, but in fact was not. Just know that this stay may be FILLED with surprises and nobody caring about your concerns!
