We stayed for 2 nights. We are loyal IHG cusotmers. We knew that Holiday Inn was one of the more budget friendly places but it took 2-1/2 hours for us to be given a room that worked. We had requested a room with tub as we have a special needs son who can only use a bathtub. The room assigned only had a shower. I went back to the front desk and Kayla was very kind and found a room with a tub. So we repacked all of our things moved to the next room, only to find out that there was no power to the heating and cooling unit and no power to the telephone. Having no phone I had to go back to the front desk, Kayla sent up a mechanic who confirmed that the unit was dead and that it would not be repairable. I went back to the original room that had a working phone to let Kayla know that the second room was inoperable, and she said that she could only move us completely to the other side of the hotel and then hung the phone up on my ear. I was so disappointed. We were not causing problems. This phone interraction was witnessed by the mechanical man, he was kind enough to use his keys to look around for a room close to where we were and he found us a room with the tab. The heating and cooling unit would turn on but it was locked at 74 degrees because someone had punched out the buttons on the keypad to increase or decrease the temperature, but we said nothing. We did not want to try to touch those areas because they had wires exposed. The beds were comfortable, the bathroom was clean, and the pool was swimmable. Thank you for reading.
