So I stay in an IHG hotel 1 to 2 times per week. I know what goes on at these properties. I have stayed in this hotel in the past. Sadly this hotel is in the perfect location for me. As you check in the staff appears to have personal company and and is bothered to check you in. As I check in I clearly say I must have a paid receipt to file for my travel and get reimbursed. He tells me both elevators are now broken. Last time only one was functional. He ii kind enough to place me on the 2nd floor. Than he informs me the door where you park at is broken and the key does not work in that door. The next morning I ask for the paid receipt. He is busy and could not print it for me. I give him a business card with all of my information on it. No action taken. They are not answering the phone. Look at the date on this review and decide to spin the wheel and see if the elevators are working. I can look the other way for many things but really not this much.

So many things wrong here. Keys don't work. Internet disconnected every few minutes. Rude and incompetent restaurant staff (L**). Old, property. GM T**** should be fired. His aggressive harassment of an elderly disabled female Diamond member was unconscionable. This Delaware North property fails in every regard but one: breakfast was excellent and server J---- was great. Unfortunately the Diamond 2-breakfast bonus wasn't honored and when it was requested, GM became hostile and vindictive.

This was a pleasant stay but we asked about the jacuzzi when we registered and the host didn't say it was broken but when we tried to use it- caution tape was all around and the host said he would get maintenance to look at it. It was down for our entire stay, which was only 1 day but I really needed and wanted the jacuzzi.

The overall stay was ok, however it was awful to have to travel all day and then get to our room and have a freezing cold shower. When we called we were told it was a missing part and we would "probably" have warm water the next evening. A morning shower was again freezing. We did stay two nights and the second night after the concert there was lukewarm water. This was just not my favorite hotel experience. The room was mostly clean, but there was a substance that was dried on the TV screen in the bedroom, kinda gross. I was a little disappointed in how much we paid to have a not so great stay.

As an IHG member I have a level of expectation. This property missed the mark. Facility maintenance is obviously low on the register. Nearly everywhere you look something was taped together, poorly patched, etc. The price was good until I learned about "average pricing." I booked for one price but was charged more each night after the first!
If you just need a place to flop, then flop.

I was scheduled to check in to this location on 4/10. My flight arrived very late (12:30AM). I called to check on the Hotel Shuttle and was told it stopped at 7:00PM (understandable). At the same time I was told there were no "clean rooms available due to roof damage". They had not notified me and did not attempt to rebook me at another location. I was forced to Uber to a IHG 15 miles way. When I checked in to this location the following day to continue my trip, I was actually informed that, "we were oversold last night". SO...in fact I was LIED TO BY THE STAFF. Manager on duty said,"don't worry I will take care of you". Checked out, having never heard from the manager. I left all of my contact info, and still five days later no contact. No adjustment on my bill, no added rewards points, nothing!!!!! This is how you treat a loyal customer. Hide all you want...I have filed a formal complaint with Holiday Inn and still no contact.

When I was looking for a hotel for this visit, I wanted to make sure it had an accessible bathtub. I narrowed my search to two hotels and selected this one because the website said that a handicap double room had an accessible bathtub, and the hotel was a little closer to our appointment the next day. My mom was traveling with me, and she was really looking forward to relaxing in a tub--the tub at home is too high. When we got to the room, there was no bathtub. Staff said that the only accessible room with a tub was a suite. Please correct your website so that it corresponds to the features in the room.

Welcome to the Holiday Inn Express & Suites Hotel Bloomington-Normal, Illinois! Take exit 167 off I 55 and you're in the Heart of Bloomington / Normal on Veterans Parkway. We're close to Central Illinois Regional Airport and Amtrak. State Farm, Country Companies, Growmark and Bridgestone Firestone are all within a mile! Our Hotel is near area attractions and easy access to Rivian Motors - Prairie Aviation Museum - Grossinger Motors Arena - Illinois Fire Juniors Soccer Club - Illinois State University - Wesleyan University - Heartland College - Lincoln College - OSF Saint Joseph Hospital - Carle Bromenn Hospital.
Our Hotel has Meeting Space for 100 and Indoor Heated Pool and Hot Tub! Free Hot Breakfast Buffet included!

Original room we checked into had a noticeable gap between door and frame. We did not feel comfortable with this and asked for a different room. The one we were offered was “in rougher shape and not one of the remodeled rooms” Room 117. According to the person checking us in. While the room was clean, the repairs and maintenance needed for the room is significant.
Enough so that I wondered how they were willing to let the room be occupied. Beyond trying to meet numbers. I have a few years of experience in the field so I understand and don’t need the most up to date room. But peeling wallpaper, dim lighting, chips/marks in the tub and a door that can be opened WITHOUT using the key is quite a bit. As for the door, we recorded being able to do this. Breakfast was fine and what you’d typically get at Holiday Inn.
My last note is for late check out. We had an event later in the day and a late check out would’ve really benefited us. Even an additional hour would’ve been appreciated. I asked twice. The first time, I was told to check back later. The second time, I was told I’d have to check with the lead housekeeper in the morning. A little surprised that a guest would be told this but that’s what happened. At that point, why’d ask again and beg for just one additional hour?
Unfortunately, for a property who is undergoing remodeling construction to ask their guests to be patient and understanding, none of that was afforded to myself or my guests. Our concerns and issues were not adequately addressed and for the hotel to have a room like ours and allow it to be occupied by their guests is quite concerning. As such, we cannot recommend this hotel and recommend trying a different one, even if you have to drive a few extra minutes.

Was treated badly at the time of check out. Was told we used something from the minibar, which we never did. They won't believe us !!! Was told it was for Rs300, I paid Rs 500, last thing I wanted to get late for my ride to the airport. Never experienced anything like that at any place of stay previously. They need to trust the customers especially for such trivial things.
