I had a great stay at this hotel. Pros: clean, great pool, wonderful breakfast, excellent location and close to buses, including bus to the airport. The staff is so nice and helpful. Rooms are comfortable. Cons: laundry room was out of order for entire week I was there and they no longer allow access to balconies.

My family decided to visit Yellowstone for the first time. The hotel is clean, and the ambience and rooms are great, but the receptionist who assisted us during check-in was somewhat rude and unwelcoming.

We had been gone from home over a week when we checked in here for the night. This was by far the most comfortable bed we had slept in. The hotel was quiet. They were having computer problems, but the clerk was able to get us checked in in spite of that. The desk clerks were friendly and helpful. There was a very limited free breakfast. The onsite cafe was a disappointment. We had a voucher for a free hot breakfast. My husband ordered an omelet with toast, juice, and coffee. He was pointed to the bread and toaster to make his own. The coffee makers were not labeled, but there was a Keurig machine. It didn't have enough water in it. A woman sitting at the counter told my husband he could get water for it from the juice machine. Later, he filled it up for another customer who wanted coffee. The omelet was greasy. If you need a good night's sleep, the beds are great. But, I would get breakfast someplace else.

Welcome to the Holiday Inn of Rockford, IL conveniently located at exit 15 of I-39/90 for all your business and leisure needs while in the Rockford/Belvidere, IL region. We are located near many businesses like General Mills, Collins Aerospace, Ingersoll Cutting Tools, Exelon Byron Nuclear Generating Station and all regional medical facilities/hospitals of MercyHealth, OSF Healthcare/St. Anthony Hospital, UW Health (formerly SwedishAmerican). We are also near many regional sports facilities like the MercyHealth Sportscore Two and One, UW Health Sports Factory, BMO Center, Carlson or Riverview Ice Arenas. Other nearby attractions include Rockford Casino (A Hard Rock Casino Opening Act), Midway Village Museum Center, Anderson Japanese Gardens, Discovery Center/Burpee Museum campus, Coronado Performing Arts Center, Klehm Arboretum. Upon getting up in the morning my daughter looked at the heating/cooling unit and observed what appeared to be rodent droppings in the vents. This unit had obviously not been cleaned or inspected for a very long time. This experience caused her great stress. Would not recommend this property. It is not up to Holiday Inn standards. Also at check in the desk clerk made it very clear that there was no complimentary breakfast at this location. All in all a very disappointing stay.

We were greeted when we entered, checking in was quick and easy. Front desk staff were so nice I immediately felt welcoming. I traveled with two little ones and she gave us a room conveniently close to the Pool and elevators I thought that was really nice.
Hotel carpets were not the nicest to look at but I understand they are doing a lot of renovations. I can’t wait to return and see all the beautiful upgrades.
I recommend staying at this hotel and will be back.

This was my second time staying at this property and it will be my last. The bed was comfortable and I slept decently despite the highway noise (my room was on the highway side). The next morning I used the hotel gym which was extremely hot inside with no air flow. Upon returning to my room to shower, I removed the bath mat from the side of the tub to lay it on floor and as if the dirty look to it wasn't bad enough, there were small ants crawling around on the bath mat. It appeared as though the bath mat wasn't clean and one other bath towel in the bathroom also appeared dirty or maybe they were stains. the inside of the tub/shower walls also appeared as though they weren't cleaned or not cleaned properly (soap residue).
I informed the desk clerk of this on my way out and she said she'd add extra points to my IHG account which I never did see.
