My son and I had booked to stay 2 nights at this location (arriving on Friday 2nd May).
To say this was disappointing would be an understatement and I am truly shocked at the number of issues we encountered and the level of service we received.
I have listed below the problems and items we noted:

Upon check in they noted I was a platinum member however they did not ask if I would prefer a free drink or points.
Smell of weed on tenth floor (on arrival and Saturday morning).
State of room, worn, old fittings in bathroom not removed when new ones installed.
Plug in sink is missing.
Fire alarm went off twice Friday night, stopped second time when we got to 5th floor. No apology in the morning (this happened around 10.45pm).
No hairdryer in room, when I requested one from the front desk she gave me one and I had to take it to the room myself.
No conditioner available in the room (only shampoo and body wash). On wall it says to ask but there is not any available! Suggest to update the sign in bathroom.
No greener stay points, front desk didn’t know anything about it.
Staff friendly but not level of service I would expect from Holiday Inn. Have stayed at better Holiday Inn Express’s!
Got back on Saturday afternoon and room key didn’t work!
No housekeeping Saturday.
Upon check out the lady on the front desk did not ask how my stay was.

The room lacked the basic amenities like microwave, fridge that is common at ANY standard property. The AC was broken and only got fixed right before checking out. No fault to the staff though, we checked in at 10PM and justifiably so there was no crew to fix it. Over the last week I stayed at 4 different IHG properties as road trips go, and this was by far the worst experience even though it was the most expensive

Very very overpriced.... Small rooms... Charge for city views but saw a concrete jungle... Bed was nice though... No shower (only wall panel).... Empty hair conditioner.... A/C is fine but not cool enough... Food is strictly limited to menu... For example, chef couldn't cook up a masala soda / clear soup... Baggage handlers dont respond, caused my airport drop to be delayed... charged service tax with GST on top...

Rrom type booked was not available. I had to sleep on a couch in a hotel that I paid for. Worst part is management didn't bother to offer any type of concessions due to their over booking the property. There were no points offered, no discount, just we messed up, oh well. I specially told them I had a party of 4 when they called me and the reservation stated it as well. There weren't enough towels in the room I was forced to stay in nor were there linens for the sofa bed. I also requested a late check out and it was granted but they have a policy of keeping the entire incidental charge if you stay beyond the late check out time. I think that policy is absurd. Charging by the hour would be more appropriate in my opinion. The incidental charge also varies by room type, another first experience with IHG.

The damaged entry was just the beginning. Checked in around 9 pm. The guy working the counter was nowhere to be found but eventually showed up. Room 1 had not been cleaned after the previous guest. The beds unmade, dirty towels on the floor, dirty bathroom, trash, etc. Room 2 way too dark, thermostat broken, THEN what was, I won't gross you out, best described as bodily fluids on the walls. Room 3 shattered television, no phone, more lack of lighting. Room 4 was the best of the bunch. But the bedding and towels were in bad shape. I don't even shower there because as I paid more attention the following morning, under the sink and in the corner, there was a washcloth that was clearly used to clean up a messy poop. Another guest I encountered in the hallway had similar issues and multiple rooms, and he got stuck in the wonky elevator.

Great location between Cardiff city and Cardiff bay. Staff friendly and helpful. Room let down this stay as it was tired and could do with updating. Carpet was stained by the coffee facilities which were not great either. Broken window catch so wouldn’t shut properly, making it very noisy. Dusty window sill and skirting boards. Bottom of the divan and carpet had sick stains on!!!

The Holiday Inn Northwest University Heights hotel offers spacious guest rooms and full suites, microwave and refrigerators in each guest room. Our famous hot breakfast buffet is a favorite, with the sparkling indoor pool, free internet, fitness and business center. With easy access to San Antonio International Airport, Military friendly, we are easy access to JBSA – Camp Bullis and Fort Sam Houston for our military groups and training programs. Our groups love to mingle and have "Ice Breaker" receptions at our Lobby Bar before going out to dinner at great local restaurants.

This location does not offer a complimentary breakfast; you must purchase a breakfast buffet. The cost would be fine if the meals were superior, but they are not. The breakfast buffet is similar to a complimentary one offered at the Holiday Inn Express. Also, the hotel does not provide additional amenities over an Express, so you will get more value if you choose the Holiday Inn Express, which is only a few miles away.

Holiday Inn Express & Suites - Pittsburgh/Southpointe is the jewel of the Southpointe Business Park. We are surrounded by gas and oil from the Marcellus Shale as well as being a technology and pharmaceutical hub. The Southpointe Business Park is home to Consol Energy, Halliburton, Ansys, Mylan, EQT, Schlumberger, Siemens, Crown Castle, Ness, Auma Actuators, Range Resources, and many more.
The Holiday Inn Express Southpointe is within walking distance of Towne Center Shopping Center which includes restaurants and shops. It includes upscale restaurants such as Toscana Brick Oven and Saga Japanese Steakhouse.
The Holiday Inn Express Southpointe is easily accessible from I-79. The hotel is just a few miles from Meadows Casino and Racetrack, Tanger Outlets, and Washington County Fairgrounds. A short drive to the north will take you into Downtown Pittsburgh where countless attractions can be found including PNC Park, Heinz Field, Consol Energy Center, Point State Park, Gateway Clipper, the Strip District, Carnegie Museum, Heinz History Museum, Andy Warhol Museum, and many more.

I stayed at your hotel for only one night on. However, I was charged for a second night of stay that was billed to my card eight days later. Please note that I flew out the day before this alleged second night.
When I contacted the hotel directly to resolve this issue, I spoke with Melissa, who falsely stated that I had extended my stay for an additional night. I then spoke with a second individual who was not only unhelpful but also rude. This person refused to provide their name, instructed me to contact my credit card company, and subsequently hung up on me.
Following this unpleasant experience, I called again and opened a case. I was asked for a confirmation number for the second night's stay. As I did not stay a second night, I do not have a confirmation number for a reservation that does not exist. Despite being told that someone would call me back, I received no follow-up.
When I called again after the promised 48-hour period, I was informed that the hotel management from the site advised me to dispute the charge with my credit card company. Furthermore, despite my repeated requests, no one at the hotel has been able to provide me with a receipt for the erroneous second charge.
As for the star rating -100. Shame on the people who are running this scam of a hotel. I will never stay at this hotel again, nor any Holiday Inn Express & Suites.

Room was OK but the water stopped for almost 4 hours early night. We were able to brush teeth using bottled water. Apparently, they fixed the leak problem since the water came back around 11 PM.
In the morning again the water suddenly stopped coming and was down to a trickle when I had just soaped in the shower. Took me a while to collect enough water by cup to rinse myself off the soap. My wife just had a shower just before me and she had been fine. Not so good for memories of Holiday Inn Express.
I gather a leak could happen anywhere but they should give a few minutes warning before shutting of the water to the entire hotel!
