A contemporary, business-friendly airport hotel in thriving Muscat For a successful business or leisure trip to Oman's picturesque capital, the Holiday Inn Muscat Al Seeb places you where you need to be. It's just a fifteen minute drive from Muscat International Airport to the hotel's stylish lobby, where guests find a warm welcome and a relaxing vibe. Are you in town for a meeting? A cluster of important institutions lie within a 20-minute drive of the 184-room hotel, including Oman Convention and Exhibition Center, Knowledge Oasis Muscat Technology Park, Rusayl Industrial Estate and Sultan Qaboos University. Downtown Muscat is a pleasant half-hour drive to the east – but you can easily do business in the hotel thanks to free Wi-Fi and a 24-hour Business Center, along with a smart boardroom and spectacular ballroom for 150 guests. Families on holiday in Muscat appreciate being just three minutes from City Centre Muscat with its countless international and local stores, restaurants and Magic Planet entertainment center. A more traditional shopping experience awaits at Muttrah Souk , where you can haggle for frankincense and gold before strolling along the Corniche. Near the airport so easy to get to/from without going into the heart of the city. Very courteous, clean, and relaxing without any noise penetrating the room. Lovely stay.

Terrific stay, best in region!

As posted and reviewd in on line forums - We lived in Singapore for 6 years so have tried many similarly placed, higher-end spots throughout Malaysia, Thailand and the region. This one is certainly one of the best values to be had in Asia.
Close to the airport, local shops, restaurants etc. but with a wonderful feeling of seclusion if you choose to just relax on the grounds. Hugely friendly, helpful staff, terrific food and a wide variety of activities. We were upgraded to the club wing (thank you) and with this upgrade also received discounts on many food and service items.
The resort itself is pristine, well maintained and with those extra touches (for instance rubber flooring on parts of the walkways exposed to rain) that show the management is really thinking. The breakfasts are monumental in scope and we did fine with just snacks and light fare after a large breakfast every day. The Teppanyaki and Italian restaurant were also excellent (especially recommend the Japanese) and even the room-service meals weren't bad at all.
The staff is very well trained, smiling and always willing to help. With an ATM on site and local groceries nearby, its really an ideal location. Price point very reasonable so in pure value-for-money terms, this beats many MANY otherwise great locations in Penang, Langkawi, Kota Kinebalu, throughout Thailand and other locations in Indonesia. For this level of service and quality you generally pay much more. Other luxury brands, just a few hundred meters away, which while lovely, can be 3x more.
Anything to improve? Well a bit of a stretch but the staff were SO well drilled that they tend to rush the table when you set down as much as a fork or glass; which they replace or refill immediately. Not a bad thing per se, but does affect the intimacy or conversation. Please lay back just a bit :-)- On another note, the spa is terrific but they include a salt scrub for feet prior to having massages or treatments. Both my daughter and I had bad skin reactions from the salt. I'd avoid it.

Really enjoyed our stay! A lovely resort with beautiful gardens and pool. The restaurant and bar was excellent as was the spa. Our only complaint would be about the bed which my wife found a bit lumpy. Would stay again for sure
