A refreshing concept, well executed!

From the moment I pulled up, I knew this was going to be different. I travel quite extensively in my career, exclusively with IHG properties, so I am used to a certain look and feel which this departs radically from. I am often disappointed in the parking arrangements at the hotels I visit, not the case here. More than ample parking surrounds this crisp property which allowed me great access even coming back to the property during parking "prime time". It is impossible for me to fully elaborate the differences this property offers, simply put it is an exceptionally crisp concept and this property is pulling it off flawlessly. I encountered a friendly and knowledgeable staff in a roomy and welcoming lobby, a lobby that almost begged me to come down from the room and sit and do some business in it due to the inviting nature. So many unique touches, from the disposable (read: you KNOW they are CLEAN) ice buckets available to the bean-to-cup coffee offered. This might be the only thing I would like to see though: while the coffee *is* fantastic, it is an expectation to have coffee in the room and I have grown very fond of my AM coffee pods at the other IHG concepts. I thoroughly enjoyed the TV in the room which made it quite easy and intuitive to "cast" content from my phone to view. Great touch! Prior to my stay I read some reviews on the world-class quality of the mattresses and I am able to assure you these are the finest mattresses I have EVER laid upon, hotel or otherwise. Some business travelers may find the room somewhat small for multi-night stays but the room is more than ample and I found it cozy, not a challenge to "fit in" however for more than 2 nights this room size would not be my choice. I could really go on and on, I was so pleased with this AVID concept and how well the staff on hand were operating their hotel. I fully recommend this hotel and am confident you will agree with me. I look forward to more being built so I may stay more.

My home away from home

I’m from Oklahoma City so I was surprised when I visited at how well this hotel fit in with its surroundings. I decided to give it a shot and stay here and I was not disappointed. From the room size, to the lobby, everything about this hotel matches my lifestyle - minimal. It isn’t full of unnecessary stuff which makes it easy for the staff to maintain it, the rooms are the perfect size and allow you to relax, and the quick breakfast they offer is nutritious with a side of tasty. This is my home away from home and I plan on many more stays with this hotel.

Loved this hotel

We loved this hotel. It was clean and comfortable. The black out shade made the room nice and dark and the bed and bedding were extremely comfortable. We would definitely stay here again.

Great place to stay

Shaun is a great person to deal with.. have had a couple minor issues.. neither his fault nor mine but he was still very quick to fix the issues..all the staff at quail Springs location is great people... breakfast is great

New IHG Concept

First time staying at one of IHG's new Avid hotels. This was actually the first ever Avid property. It was a great experience. The hotel is very modern with a Euro feel, especially in the rooms. The rooms are smaller than most other IHG properties, almost like an efficiency apartment, but offer the most modern technology features including synching your phone to the TV for streaming television, Netflix, etc. while using their WiFi. Room is very efficiently laid out with all the essentials plus some despite the smaller space. The bathroom was still full-sized and didn't feel cramped at all (as big or bigger than most properties). Overall, the entire hotel was very new, modern and clean.

First stay at an Avid

We enjoyed the room, the lobby, and the bathroom.
My only complaint: It was loud in the room. Every time a door closed you could hear it echo in the room. The hotel did have a large group of boys staying in it and they could have been the source of this so it may not be a regular problem. You could hear people walking and other noises. If you have earplugs or a white noise machine you'll be able to drown those out. I did hear road noise one time during the night, but not afterward, may have been a semi Jake braking?
The room is small. Like a dorm room. No closets, but plenty of hangers and hooks around the room. No dresser, but shelves are conveniently located. No carpeting in the room, which I liked. The shower was great; the door closes to the shower so you don’t end up getting the floor soaked while bathing.
The TV is good sized (50 ). You can stream your devices to the TV with minimal effort. We watched Netflix with no issues. You can also check your account or watch TV. They had a lot of channels to choose from. Wi-Fi worked well after I got logged into it. The bed was comfortable and the covers were soft and warm.
Breakfast was a warm sandwich with egg and sausage. Or choices of cereal, yogurts, boiled eggs, muffins, and some fruits. There were a coffee maker and water dispenser in the lobby for use 24/7. There was also a small convenience “store” you could buy snacks or drinks at.
Overall, I’ll assume the noises were an aberration and because of the positives, I would give the hotel another try if I end up back in OKC or Tulsa.
