I DO NOT, DO NOT recommend this property!!!
- The front desk clerk Trae was very rude!
o He would make faces at guest when asked a question as if we were inconveniencing him
o He was snappy with his answers to guests, no southern hospitality with him at all
o When I tried to check-in, he offered me a king (only thing he had available) when I had requested 2 queens
o The next guest tried to check-in for a single and he told him there were no rooms available he had to wait. Why couldn’t he get the king he was going to give me.
- We had to wait over an hour for a room
- The room did not have towels
- The ice bucket had a chicken bone in it
o The house keeping supervisor took care of the towels & chicken bone
- Roaches appeared in the bathroom
o Received a text from Kendall asking about my stay and he apologized for the issues of towels and chicken bone
o I reached out to him/her on the roach issue with pictures and no response
- Valet Parking at $50 per day
o Call the front desk ahead of time to have car brought and once we got downstairs was waiting for the car for 15 minutes, went to ask the valet on the status of the car and was told front desk did not inform them to bring it around
- When speaking with other guest on the elevator about their stay, was getting similar responses on their experience
- The most positive experience was Valet when dealing directly with them, they were AWESOME!
- NEVER STAYING HER AGAIN!!!

Don’t stay here!! Not IHG standards

This place was disgusting! I stay at many IHG brand hotels so much that I don’t read reviews too often because I trust the brand. This place was the worst hotel I have stayed in in decades. The beds were shot and need to be replaced. The toilet barely flushed. The sink leaked out all over the countertop when turned on and the bathroom smelled like raw sewage!!! The smell was so bad I didn’t even want to use the bathroom or shower. The floor carpet felt greasy and so did all the furniture. Every corner has dirt built up and the windows were so dirty I couldn’t even see out them. This place should not be allowed to show the IHG logo.
We only stayed for 1 night but if I had booked more then that I would have found a different location.
I will say the staff was friendly and nice. That’s the only thing they got right. Don’t stay here if you have IHG standards.

Terrible front desk staff

During our recent stay at the Holiday Inn Times Square, every interaction with the front desk staff was terrible. When we checked in, I was greeted by a very grouchy desk agent. He spoke so softly that I could not understand anything he was saying. He could not answer any of my questions; he seemed annoyed by my presence and did not make me feel welcome at all.
During the second day of our stay, our room was never cleaned. I had to go to the front desk to request towels and coffee pods. Unfortunately, I was greeted by the same surly employee. The only words he spoke were "What room number?". He offered no apology, no solutions, just attitude. When I asked for coffee pods, he shoved a basket of k-cups in my face..... once again, no words at all. Also, the towels we requested never arrived, and I had to ask a housekeeping person in the hallway.
The room itself was tiny (which is expected in NYC) but we had requested two double beds and were given a king bed and was told that we did not have a choice.
The barn door in the bathroom with frosted glass is ridiculous in a small room. There is absolutely no privacy since the edge of the king bed is inches from the bathroom. With the frosted glass, when one of us had to use the bathroom during the night, it lit up the whole room.
The hallway smelled like marijuana every time we left the room, and two of the ice machines were out of ice.
It was a terrible experience, and we will not be back.

Unwelcome check in

Upon entrance there was no one at the check in desk. The counter was pasted with at least six notes covering payments the hotel did not accept, pool use regulations and restrictions and various other unwelcoming subjects. I could hear a loud conversation coming from the office. Eventually, a person emerged from the office and started the check in process - no welcome, thanks for being a rewards member or gift bag. I went to the assigned room - neither card key opened the door. Back to the counter, full luggage rack in tow. No one at the counter - still loud conversation from the office. The same lady eventually emerged (annoyed that I had again disrupted her conversation) and re-swiped the cards - no sorry for the inconvenience. The entire experience was way below average for what I usually receive at IHG properties

First time staying in an AVID hotel. Very minimalistic design.

Room thermostat was OFF when we entered.
No hot options at breakfast other than oatmeal.
Small room.

No clothes hanging closet/luggage storage space.

Horrible noise control measures. Shower fixtures were broken, parts were scattered around the shower upon arrival. Room service never came by. The driveway was a disaster! Holes and uneven. Do not recommend whatsoever.
