Poor Customer Service

I do not recommend this hotel at all.

Room was dirty, customer service was horrible.

I have been an IHG member for 10 years. I have stayed in Lancaster Pennsylvania several times. I decided to stay closer to where my business meeting was.

This decision was bad as this hotel is horrible.

Dirty property. Stains on floor, former guests socks left under the bed, dust everywhere, stains on walls, tub wouldn’t drain. No ironing board or iron. No fitness room. No one available to help

Worst IHG Experience

This is the worst IHG experience I’ve had at any hotel and all the years I’ve been staying with this group of hotel chains. The grounds are being remodeled, in the hotel feels like chaos. The first room they put me and I asked them to make sure that they put me away from anybody who has children or pets as I would be working from the room and needed quiet space. After I went into the room they first assigned me, I left the room to go back down to my car and get something and across the hall for me two doors down with a circus of children and luggage being brought in. So I went back down to the desk and asked to be switched to another room, and took her a long time to find me a room, but then they put me one floor down. I went to check into this room and I noticed there was a curtain missing in the shower so on my way out to dinner I stopped at the desk to let them know that they need to put a shower curtain in. Honestly, the whole room was weird isn’t nothing in there for sound deadening, the furniture was weird and not really useful, and the floors were very uneven to walk across. The USB is in the lamps don’t work, the telephone didn’t work so I couldn’t even call the front desk. Disconcerting if I would’ve had an emergency. The only thing this hotel has in a positive way going for them was at the front desk. Concierge was very pleasant to deal with, but the building itself not in good condition. When I went out to get in my car the next morning, I found a piece of metal and a screw by one of my tires, just hoping at this point that I didn’t pick up any screws in my tires due to the construction on going in this location I would not stay here again.

Do not expect quality sleep time

Brand new hotel, in which I have stayed several times already over few months time. In all rooms there is very noisy electricity fusebox, so when you try to sleep there is a constant squeaky sound coming - but this can be turned off by completely shutting power off in the room.

More issues are with the night staff of the hotel, who doesn&amp;amp;amp;amp;#39;t know / have resources to allow for uninterupted rest in the hotel. First time issue was noise from some other room, which the hotel staff couldn&amp;amp;amp;amp;#39;t find the source (understandable) but then they literally said, they were calling around for the rooms as well asking the clients if they are not making noise? And after 30 mins since my complaint they called me (around 3 am) to tell me that they couldn&amp;amp;#39;t find the source.

So they tried to solve noise by waking up several guests in the middle of the night? Front desk staff said they were told to do so by someone... Really?

Second time incident happened when I checked at midnight only to have to checkout at 4:30 in the morning. At 2 am somebody was trying to get into my room only to realise the front desk staff gave some other guests my room as well. My already short sleep was totally interupted. I demanded that the hotel management will get back to me to discuss the situation but nobody reach out yet after 3 weeks. I tried to remind them of myself with 2 emails - zero response.

So nice building, but do not count on having a good rest..

Horrible

I’m sorry I have tried to reach out about this horrible stay. Numerous things went awfully wrong. Someone walked into our room another guest had double booked. The front desk gave them the key. Also when I went down to address this problem the front desk could not help they didn’t speak English. I also had to carry my husband in a wheel chair up two flights of
Stairs because he couldn’t move our room to first floor once elevator broke during our stay!!! Please please contact me to discuss further not one person has reached out to me

Better out there

Staff was not real friendly, breakfast room very small with less choices than a normal IHG (no yogurt, hard boiled eggs, or milk cartons). Took very few people to fill all seating. Very little water pressure. Check out day rushed by housekeeping to leave (was 8:30) Much better options in Phoenix area. Would not stay here again.

Many Holiday Inn Express are just fair. This one was a little below fair. I have stayed at many hHoliday Inn Express (7) and only two meet the standards I expect from Holiday Inn Express.
The Holiday Inn Express was broken down and not to my liking.

Rooms very tired and in need of a refurb. Smelled of damp and the bed was hard and bowed in the middle. Poor sleep quality
Staff lovely and the room was clean.
Such a shame and because it was booked through a 3rd party we didn’t even get IHG reward points

Unwelcoming and unhelpful

Unpleasant stay, unhelpful staff and not welcoming. Nice property but for the price it should be top notch in terms of service and it just isn’t, very disappointed. Raised issues at checkout and was told for inconvenience and service issues would issue points as an apology, that’s never happened either which is why I’ve now left a review as just don’t do what they say they will. Overall a shame as the property is nice but service is incredibly important particularly when charging a premium
