Parking is a joke

FYI parking is not on wilshire, it’s on 7th street. Calling the hotel to get help with parking will not do you any good. Also the lobby is in the 70th floor so you have to go up to the 70th floor, switch elevators to go down to your room. When you leave you have to go up to the lobby to switch elevators to go down to the ground level

I always like come in here because they have the hot tub and it's always been nice and clean in this room too as well the kids can relax as well so can I but I was very upset because it came to this time around for my birthday and then just want to relax without the kids in the hot tub was down it's very put a dent in my mood and my birthday

A Platinum Elite Member's Goodbye to IHG

As a Platinum Elite member of IHG since 2021, I have had the privilege of enjoying a number of stays within this network, and I’ve generally had good experiences. Even when things go wrong, they usually don't take much time to rectify However, my recent stay at this Crowne Plaza property has caused me to rethink my loyalty to the brand. Unfortunately, I can no longer recommend this hotel, and this will be my last stay with IHG for the foreseeable future.
One of the first issues arose upon check-in. I used the IHG app to book my stay and decided to take advantage of a $30 food and drink credit for just $20, a deal the app clearly offered. Upon check-in, however, the front desk staff seemed completely unaware of the promotion. I provided my confirmation email, and while they eventually agreed to honor the $30 credit, I couldn’t help but feel uncomfortable. The shift manager made a rude comment that suggested I was somehow taking advantage of the hotel, which left a sour taste. To make matters worse, I overheard the team discussing that another guest had the same promotion earlier that day—so why were they acting as if this deal was a surprise? Then, at checkout, I discovered I had been charged another $20, effectively paying $40 for a $30 credit. Although the general manager corrected this mistake promptly, I ended up spending nearly an hour of my time correcting a situation that should have been straightforward.
The check-out process wasn’t any smoother. The person assisting me declined to give me a paper receipt until I asked three times, as he felt email should be sufficient. At a minimum, I expect professionalism and efficiency, especially from a hotel that claims to provide quality service.
Another annoying issue occurred with my booking rate. I had reserved my room under a qualifying rate that should have contributed to my ongoing IHG Rewards status for next year. Somehow, this was switched to a non-qualifying rate, which I only realized days later. Whether this was an error or something more intentional, it required multiple interactions with both the hotel and IHG corporate to resolve the issue. As a loyal customer who has worked hard to maintain my elite status, this is extremely frustrating.
On a positive note, the hotel itself was clean, and the experience was in line with what I would expect from a Crowne Plaza property in terms of the room and amenities. However, the lack of attention to detail, the poor handling of promotions, and the disappointing customer service made it clear that this property, and perhaps the IHG brand as a whole, no longer meets the standards one should expect or that their customers deserve.

Staff were somber, and not friendly. I typically stay at the staybridge closer to the exit and will return there from now on. Not here. A brand new hotel is just a box without a hospitality team that provides the brand experience. This just isn't the hotel for the brand experience.

Welcome to Candlewood Suites in New Bern, NC. Those seeking hotels in New Bern, NC for business or leisure always go here for the city's premier extended stay facility. We are the most personable hotel around! We offer a comfortable rooms on US Highway 17, near Hwy 70 and 55, and within less than an hour of many beaches and sprawling cities. An affordable alternative to a corporate apartment, this hotel boasts all the resources needed for a productive trip including a fully functioning kitchen, outside grill and pet friendly rooms. Free wired and wireless Internet access enables easy communication, and a Business Center makes copy, fax and print services readily available. Electrical power at this location is very unreliable

This hotel has very unreliable electrical power during bad weather. When this happens the staff is quite rude when asked about reason, duration and guest options. The gym is clean and has enough options. Laundry is nice. Bathrooms need more attention from the cleaning staff.

The staff at HI Rantoul was great from the maintenance man, Jerry to the front desk lady, the breakfast bar attendant and our room attendant. My issues were in the room(316). The blackout shade was off the track and was not able to open or close. Jerry came to look at it and he was able to get it back in the track but discovered the chain to raise and lower was gone. Also, the shade itself has numerous holes in it, kinda tacky looking. On the hallway room door the secondary lock, the one were you move a bar that goes over a little ball, the piece that screws into the door all the screws were loose, like someone pulled it out. The pool was unavailable our whole stay. Once again the staff was wonderful.

Our non-smoking hotel is minutes from Six Flags Over Texas and Hurricane Harbor water park. Looking to enjoy an event or game? We are also only 17 miles from both Dallas and Fort Worth, and offer easy access to the Trinity Railway Express.
