Watch out for standing water and no wet floor signs

On the Tuesday of our stay in the afternoon I slipped and fell on some water that was in front of the elevator when I exited. The front desk employee saw me fall and while on the phone yelled “You okay?” and went right back to her phone conversation. I got back up very sore and left for the day. There was no wet floor sign and the employee was too busy with her own conversation on the phone to come and check on me besides yelling. I told her there was water on the floor and she just shrugged at me going back to her phone conversation. This is rather disappointing to me. My husband and I always stay here when visiting his family and this makes me think of trying another hotel instead that would have handled this better. Years ago I worked at a hotel and when a guest hurt themselves in any way we had to write a report for it. Is this not your policy?

Hotel manager kicked me and my crew out because he said someone reported us running down the halls beating on the door. We are grown men. Nobody from our crew was running or knocking on any doors. There's cameras in the halls. Going off a made up complaint we had to pack our stuff and leave the hotel at 1am accompanied by the cops. I have a video of situation.

Our Business Center offers two computers with printing capabilities and Internet access so that you can catch up on those personal or business needs.

Just two minutes' walk from the heart of Essen, Holiday Inn® Essen – City Centre is around the corner from the Limbecker Platz shopping mall. No welcome drink or points offered at check in (platinum member). Room was not good: fridge out of order, tv remote control didn't work, toilet paper holder not useable. So room change requested after first night. Second room was ok.

Dirty towels and sheets. Noisy rooms

Very poor quality. Towels and sheets were dirty with hair and visible dirt. Sheets were not clean either. Rooms were very noisy even after “quiet hours” I will not be staying here again.

BREAKFAST STAFF VERY ACCOMMODATING. SOME RECEPTION STAFF DID NOT CARE AT ALL.

I have explained previously that the Housekeeping at this Hotel was again disappointing when there were days that Housekeeping never even entered the room. Never removed the Trash Cans/no clean Towels/Coffee Satchets. Never mind about Vacuuming the Carpets as this never gets done.
Breakfast lady was great but certain reception staff did not care at all that there were certain bits of equipment in the fitness room not functioning. Housekeeping was terrible. I asked the girls at reception to notify the Front desk Manager Shameeksa Thompson to contact me and I was assured that the message would be passed on but obviously she is too busy to contact me as I have heard nothing.
