Extra Cleaning

I have now stayed their twice within two weeks. The first room I received had a horrible stain on the carpet so they put the chair over the stain. Then the curtains were stained extremely bad like a previous guest spilled something all over it. The wall paper had rips in the wall and just looked like it needed a deep cleaning. The second time I stayed there the room smelled like someone had just smoked a bunch of cigarettes. I tried to use the hot tub but I guess the door was broken so someone had to let us in. The hot tub was nice, but definitely needed to be cleaned. There was a bunch of sand on the bottom and the sides were black because they needed a deep cleaning. I used to love this hotel but really needs a better housekeeping department or finish their renovation.

Not service expected for a diamond elite member

When I went I thought I would have a great experience but there fact that they couldn’t refill my body wash and they had no towels. I’m a diamond elite member and spent a lot of money at IHG and to get this kind experience when I had better experience in Virginia and staging at that hotel for 3 months was way better than this one night staying here. I’m disappointed.

I already wrote about the great service I experienced with the young man at the desk but I still was upset that the website still offered the pool and hot tub when they have been out of service for months they should remove this advertisement so that arrangement can be made for families on leisure vacations

Good for the most part

Room had half eaten apple, an orange and other trash under the bed. Other than that the room and staff were fine. Breakfast choices weren’t very good.

Like this hotel, not the loud guests

We have stayed here before, and we do really like it. Our first night there were lots of kids and people there for the nearby Nook. Some of them were running, throwing something, and talking, laughing, having fun in the hallway. This went on well after quiet hours, I called the front desk around midnight asking to have them be told to quiet down. The second night, all of them were gone, it was pleasant.

Some random smell in the room

Time to time, there was a random bad smell coming, it may be from the heating/cooling system or something. Additionally, breakfast was not included in the booking even it shows they serve breakfast.

Checking Experince

The checking staff was a little bit dry and not friendly. When we asked about a late check-out, he quickly dismissed it with a NO. His reason was that the hotel was sold out, but when we went online, the hotel was not sold out the next day. We don't understand why IHG offers benefits that almost most hotels don't want to honor. This hotel has zero amenities to be highlighted. Zero recognition to be an IHG member, that one was odd.

Great location but

The hotel location is excellent and the staff were very helpful and knowledgeable. Unfortunately our bed was very firm and uncomfortable. We also only had two small pillow's in our room. One that is very firm and one that's very soft.

Bad at taking reservations

The staff messed up our room reservation, beach hut reservations, and spa reservations. No one would accept responsibility either. I was always someone else’s fault and nothing could be done to make it right. Very disappointing.
