The room was clean. Linens, bed, and bath were clean. Room and furniture were very worn and outdated. This hotel needs a complete renovation. It does not compare well with other Crowne Plaza hotels or any other IHG properties.

The bartenders were exceptional. Good conversation etc... We did not eat at the hotel
The room was average, the carpet needs to be replaced, the office chair was peeling. Bed and bathroom were clean.
Garage was too dark, if I were a woman I probably wouldnt feel safe. Parking spaces were kinda tight too. Not sure what the purpose of the valet was. We had to give the car keys to them, but they never parked the car or brought it to the front.

Welcome to the Holiday Clark NJ. The hotel is within walking distance to Clark Commons shopping center where you can find shopping, dining, and entertainment. Situated off the Garden State Parkway at exit 135, guests enjoy complimentary parking & Wi-Fi. All rooms include a Microwave and a Mini Fridge and Keurig Coffee Maker. All 192 guests have recently been completely remodeled. Our restaurant is open for Breakfast, Dinner, and Drinks. You may eat inside or outside on our beautiful patio with fire pit and heat lamps for warmth. In addition to shopping, we are walking distance to beautiful parks and trails. We are located near Fortune 500 companies like L’Oreal, Merck, Kerry, DSV, GEP, BASF, Siemens and Turtle. A short car ride takes you to Rahway train station, which goes directly into NYC. We also have over 8,000 sq. feet of meeting space available for meetings, office space or events.
The first room had a dirty toilet seat, so I was transferred to another room. The next morning I went to take a shower and could not get the water to come out of the shower head. The person from the hotel could not get it to work either and said it needed repair, so I was again transferred to another room. I had stayed before in the room where the shower didn't work and had complained then, which was a while ago. I was surprised it hadn't been fixed. Has no one in that room tried to take a shower? What about your renovation? The toilet seats are dented and old. Can't you afford some new, cheap toilet seats. I will not be staying here again because the problem I complained about previously (the shower) was never fixed and that was a while ago. The staff handled me well, but the problems (dirty toilet seat and non-working shower) should never have occurred.

The room was very small and everything had a film on it from the disinfecting spray they have been using for Covid. There was no bath tub so our 2 yr old toddler got his first shower experience and it didn’t go well. Our bathroom fan had to be replaced. There was constantly trash in the hallways and the elevator was super slow. They seemed understaffed and in need of an upgrade considering the price for the room.

I picked the hotel and type of room for my wife who was visiting a new grandchild. The website claimed there was room service available. OK, it was cancelled with Covid. That's fine but correct the website. In addition, we asked for an executive level room due to the website claim of food and beverages in a dedicated lounge. No such service existed. The room assigned wasn't even on the exec floor but we were still being charged the higher rate. I complained and was told - tough by the evening clerk. The next day I was promised a correction of the rate. I'm not sure that actually happened.
The other interesting thing was how argumentative the staff was. When I pointed out the website inaccuracy they should have simply apologized and offered to look into correcting the issue. Instead, two different staffers insisted that web sites couldn't be changed and defended the inaccuracy. Wow. I run a tech company. What a ridiculous response. Then they got huffy when I told them how silly the response was. Well trained hospitality folks simply don't respond like that. In addition, they refused to connect me with the manager. How strange.
Next time I'll have my wife stay elsewhere.

this place is a covid haven! the staff was rude and we caught one sneaking into the room while we were in bed undressed!! we stayed over a week there and were told staff couldn’t clean our room due to covid... then why did we catch a staff member entering our room?!

Upon arrival , this hotel has two doors you must enter at its main entrance . The first door slid right open , the next door you have to be buzzed in by staff members and I had to wait for someone to notice me to open the door . Once inside , the staff members didn’t even give me a basic greeting just “I’ll be right with you “ The two staff members at the desk begin talking amongst each other , and another customer walks in and waits in line behind me. The two employees continue to talk amongst each other with no acknowledgement to the new customer or explanation for why check in is taking so long . The woman behind eventually stated she needed to use the bathroom and the two staff members stop their conversation and just respond “sorry no public restrooms” then go back to their conversation, still providing no approximate wait time or anything . Finally I get checked in , the guy who helped me just asked for my name ID and card , never mentioned anything about my reservation to me . Just “insert your card” . I know he doesn’t own the hotel so he could probably care less , but he shouldn’t make it so obvious . Once I get upstairs my room is nice and clean , kind of snug , but comfortable. The hallways in the hotel are super hot though , but once in hotel room the AC works really well and it gets cold really fast . Once I am upstairs, I realize there’s no bucket in the room for the ice machine . Not to mention I had to discover the Ice machine on my own. My partner went downstairs and requested a bucket from the front desk , they told him that they will deliver it to the room for us . We never got a bucket that day . The best day my partner asks again because my reservist was for two days . The second time we ask , we were told that they are working on it . Still nothing for most of day . We decide to ask a third time and the woman downstairs speaks to her co worker in a different language and the guy just sucks his teeth with an attitude like us asking for a bucket was such a huge inconvenience for him . She tells us that he’s going to get it for us . Never got it . For the 2 days I was there , never got that bucket . I found myself not willing to do everything I wanted in Manhattan because I feared I wouldn’t be able to get back into hotel due to all the times I had to wait for a desk member to notice me for them to buzz me in or by relying on other guests to exit the building . I know coronavirus is very serious but my reservation included free breakfast , if it’s cancelled for safety concerns it shouldn’t be there anymore or the staff can at least acknowledge that it’s there and let guests know it won’t be honored . Had to find coffee every morning around the city , which I assumed would be included in my stay as shown online . Also I arrived much earlier than I thought and called to request an earlier check in and the staff member just responded “sorry we don’t have any early check in rooms available “ so I had to just hang around for over 6 hours to wait until 3pm just go receive no acknowledgement from employees and have to wait even longer during a very delayed check in process .This hotel would’ve been a really nice stay if the customer service wasn’t so terrible . I’ve been to motels with much better customer service offered here .

Local attractions nearby include the Academy Model Aviation Museum, Muncie Children’s Museum, and Minnestrista Cultural Center.
Guests enjoy many amenities including High Speed Internet Access, indoor heated pool and whirlpool, full fitness center, and outdoor fire pit during their stay.
This was a rather stressful trip to check on family during this pandemic. Upon arrival, staff was not wearing masks which was a little unnerving. As a matter of fact, I only saw a few staff actually donning masks the entire stay. I realize that the state did not mandate masks in public, but I would have thought that IHG would and should go the extra step to safe guard not only guests but also the employees. There were only a couple of familiar faces which was also disappointing as I stay here several times a year and those staff always went beyond the call to ensure the best service. One definite plus is the fact that they are now pet friendly. One word of advice, they should keep the grounds mowed; it was apparent that it had not been mowed for several weeks.
