Whether you're on the road for the week or planning on traveling for an even longer duration, Candlewood Suites Alexandria has got you covered. Located just 5 minutes from the Alexandria International Airport and right off of Interstate 49, we have the amenities to make your time on the road feel a little more comfortable. Our fully equipped guest suites will provide you with plenty of space to make feel like your own. Close by Downtown Alexandria, the Port of Alexandria, Proctor and Gamble, Rapides Regional Medical Center, and Plastipak plant, the Candlewood Suites is in the right place to meet all of your travel requirements. Fort Polk is only an hour away.
While you're here make sure to take advantage of the local attractions like the Alexandria Zoo, Indian Creek, Kisatchie National Forest, and Rapides Parish Coliseum just to name a few.
When you just want to unwind at the hotel we're prepared for that too. Run off the work day at the fitness center which is attached to our free guest laundry facility. Hang out at our gazebo & fire up the grills to enjoy a nice "home cooked meal". When you're ready to call it a night, you can borrow a movie from our huge collection of DVDs and Blu Ray movies or connect to our free high-speed Internet so that you can binge your favorite Netflix or Hulu shows. Comfortable bed but......

My room was average and clean. The bed was nice! It seem new alots had a pillow top.
My room was on the bottom floor which I perfect except the staff was so loud at nite. We're talking midnight 1am...
The gym was nice with free weights, a few cardio machines and a machine with weights. That room did not get cleaned once while I was there 8days!! I enjoy the rewards from IHG and try staying but I had to leave early. So happy I did found a much better hotel.

Not up to Crowne Plaza Level

Ive stayed in several crowne plaza hotels around Asia Pacific, this is more of a Holiday Inn. Worst lift experience ever. All other hotels when pressing the lift button, it activates all lifts and the first one arrives, at CHCH all are individually operated so guests press all four buttons, get in the first lift then all other lifts stop at this floor to find no-one there. Second was breakfast, had to pay for a Barista coffee, most 4-5 star hotels have either a barista machine or free Barista coffee, then there was the breakfast buffet selection, extremely poor choice and poor quality fruit and cold meats, then the cooked breakfast was the most under seasoned I have ever had, it was vile, particularly the Spanish mince and mushrooms, the omelette was mediocre. Great location and nice enough room though, hence the 3 stars. Sure was expensive too.

When I visit Laredo, this location is my go too all the time. The hotel is always clean, and my family and I always get great customer service. The shower lever was however really hard to manage this time which is why I am leaving this review. Maybe maintenance should look at little details like this before issuing rooms. I wanted to relax in the jacuzzi, but the water was too cold and had cigarette buds floating around with a strong odor of moth balls. This is the first of my many stays that I experience this at this specific hotel.

Short stay

The stay was okay except for the cannabis smell in the elevator and stairways. Insufficient towels and washcloths.
The hotel is close to the road and there was construction. The construction trucks were on all night making it difficult to sleep.

The Holiday Inn Washington, DC - Greenbelt, MD is a full-service hotel located near Baltimore and Annapolis, and the University of Maryland in College Park. The hotel has 99 spacious rooms (which includes 6 accessible rooms. The hotel is within five miles of the New Carrollton Amtrak and Greenbelt Metro stations, which makes travel around the Washington, DC area easy.
Our hotel guests enjoy quality amenities such as an outdoor pool.
Sports enthusiasts are glad to know that we're close to Commanders Field, home of the Washington Commanders and a short Metro ride away from Nationals Park, home of the Washington National baseball team.

No heat in one room, no hot water in the second

The hotel has been being renovated for over 2 years, it still is not done. The feel is still dirty. First room HVAC did not work. The second room tried did not have hot water. Staff is fine.

One of the dirtier hotels I have stayed in

I stay in Holiday inn locations 60 to 80 nights a year. And probably 50 different properties. The location in Jackson, Tennessee is one of the dirtier rooms I've ever had. There was mold in the shower, rings all over the furniture, floor felt dirty, etc. and it was a huge sag in the mattress.

Nothing sweet about the suite

I am greatly disappointed with my most recent stay. I was booked for a suite. The king size bed was broken and the bed was sloped. It looked like a half pipe...without the skateboard. There was a hole in the wall, with exposed wires that could've easily been filled in or covered with a painting. The fold out bed...was so worn that we had to request two quilts just so my son could sleep on it. The furniture needs upgraded or fixed. A suite is typically the most expensive room in the hotel, and i did not get my money's worth on this stay. I have stayed in this suite before, but this was our worst stay and we probably won't be back.
The pool and hot tub were not working, the scrambled eggs were hard, it is not the hotel experience we enjoyed the last time. Please fix the issues!
