Nice Hotel

Conveniently located, comfortable bed. Rooms are a little cramped but they are clean. The staff is friendly. The burgers in the restaurant are very good, but skip the little jars of desert, none of us liked them.

Great location and parking

The clerk did not ask our IHG number and therefore we did not get a preferred rate. The hotel rooms seemed a little dated but comfortable. The bathrooms although clean need some updating.

Friendly and helpful staff

The staff throughout were quite friendly. We were especially grateful for the knowledge and helpfulness of the gift shop staff. We appreciated the quiet, comfortable space outside the restaurant where we were able to enjoy a wood burning fireplace.

Comfortable bed and good sleep quality

The room is good. Bed is comfortable and thanks to it, I slept well. The restroom is extremely large. I like it except for two things:
1) Few public amenity. The only one is the gym. No swimming pool for such a high end hotel.
2) Housekeeping on time. I called and scheduled a housekeeping, but did not receive it after several hours of the agreed time. Got to contact again to have the room cleaned.
The staff was really nice and approachable. The overall experience is pretty good. Will consider another visit in the future.

Terrible Experience with Group Reservation – Beware

We had an extremely disappointing experience with this hotel during a recent group stay. Our group reserved 8–12 rooms well in advance (end of last year or early this year) for a 4-day stay. Despite our early reservations, the hotel contacted us just a couple of months before the trip asking if we would be willing to give up our rooms due to overbooking. We firmly declined, reminding them these rooms were reserved long ago.
Our group coordinator wisely advised us to pay ahead of time, as it was clear the hotel might cancel on us. A few of us managed to pay in advance, but most were told they had to wait until the day of check-in.
When we arrived around 3–4 PM, we were shocked to find that 7 of our rooms had been canceled—not because anyone failed to show up, but because the hotel had run credit cards before check-in without notifying anyone. The year before, we paid at check-in with no problem. This time, they told us there was nothing they could do and offered to rebook the rooms at a $200 higher rate—no longer honoring our original group pricing.
Andrea handled our reservations, and Ariel was the on-site manager. Both showed little to no consideration or effort to resolve the issue. Thankfully, we were able to shift people around to ensure everyone had a place to sleep, but it was a chaotic mess that could’ve been avoided entirely.
To make matters worse, our coordinator had email evidence showing she’d communicated clearly with their team about not running payments early. Still, they went ahead and did it anyway.
This experience was unprofessional, poorly handled, and incredibly frustrating for a group that had trusted this hotel with our accommodations two years in a row. We will not be returning.

There are other hotels with better service, facilities, and amenities. As a very loyal IHG member, I was disappointed in the quality of this stay. The rate I paid was not reflective of the hotel quality. It was okay, however there are many better options out there. I had higher expectations that the hotel did not meet. I wish I would have stayed at a different IHG hotel that met the standard of service that is expected with the company.

Room type not guaranteed

I made my reservations over a month ago for a room with a roll in shower access due to my disability. When I arrived at the hotel, they gave me my room. I went up to it only to discover that it was not the room type I had booked. I called the front desk and was told to come back down and they would reassign my room. I was then informed that the only two roll in shower rooms they had were occupied. I asked how that could’ve happened since I booked my room over a month ago so I ended up taking another room that had a tub and even though it had grab bars, I was unable to utilize the tub because I could not step over the lip of the tub. If this is how you treat a diamond delete member with over 10 years of brand loyalty I guess it’s time for me to look to another hotel chain. They said they are giving me 5000 extra points for the inconvenience which means nothing to me if I can’t take a shower.

Great hotel, but our specific room was dreadful

If it weren't for the specific room we were given, this would be a 5 star rating review with nothing but good things to say.
But, we were given room 2124. This room is all alone in the entry corridor of the building we were in - there are no other rooms by it.
This was by far the noisiest hotel room I have ever stayed in in my entire life.
The entry door to the building is less than 5 feet away from this room's window. There were people coming in and going out of this door all night long, with the door slamming shut, and often times wheeling their luggage on the cobblestone walkway right outside our window.
People also congregated and talked right by our door, because it looked like an empty hallway with no rooms. We could hear every word of people's conversations. I really hope Ron and his wife (I didn't catch her name) figured out what to do at 6:15 AM - Ron wanted to go to the Grand Canyon first thing to beat the crowds, while his wife wanted to eat breakfast at the restaurant here at the hotel and go to the canyon a little later.
But the pièce de résistance was the fact that the ice machine was directly across from our door. I could literally touch the ice machine with one hand and our door with the other. People get a lot of ice at all hours of the night. And people going to the Grand Canyon early (like 4 AM - 7 AM) get even more ice. Have you ever noticed how loud an ice machine is when it is used?
Needless to say we got zero sleep to be ready for our one day at the Grand Canyon.
There is no way we have been the first guests to stay in this particular room, and I am 100% sure other guests have complained about the noise in this uniquely located room. Please, for the sake and sanity of future guests, DO NOT ever give out room 2124 again!
