Okay

For the price, I expected more. We were on the highway side which was very loud, and I am not a fan of the sink area being “in the room”. Bathroom was very small.
We’re pretty devoted to IHG. It just wasn’t my favorite IHG stay. :(

Just shouldn't offer breakfast

Room was outdated. It was fairly clean but not what it should be. Only stayed one night thank goodness. Went down for breakfast. Lights in breakfast area were dim. Employee sitting at a table on cell phone with back to us. No welcome or acknowledgement. Tables needing wiped down. Trash on the floor. Food was barely hot. Waffle batter wasn't working. Employee did get up when we asked her about it but just gave it a half way adjust and went and sat back down. Juice was more water than juice. We just decided it was safer to eat elsewhere. Tried doing a customer service chat but being on the road traveling didn't make that easy.

Welcome to the Holiday Inn of Rockford, IL conveniently located at exit 15 of I-39/90 for all your business and leisure needs while in the Rockford/Belvidere, IL region. We are located near many businesses like General Mills, Collins Aerospace, Ingersoll Cutting Tools, Exelon Byron Nuclear Generating Station and all regional medical facilities/hospitals of MercyHealth, OSF Healthcare/St. Anthony Hospital, UW Health (formerly SwedishAmerican). We are also near many regional sports facilities like the MercyHealth Sportscore Two and One, UW Health Sports Factory, BMO Center, Carlson or Riverview Ice Arenas. Other nearby attractions include Rockford Casino (A Hard Rock Casino Opening Act), Midway Village Museum Center, Anderson Japanese Gardens, Discovery Center/Burpee Museum campus, Coronado Performing Arts Center, Klehm Arboretum. Easy to check-in, hard to leave

Checked in with zero wait, and loved every minute. Very clean rooms, and bathrooms. Pool has a divided shallow end for little ones before it goes deeper. Connected restaurant had easy access with good food.

Great area, friendly service

We stayed here as a team before a weekend-long cheer competition. The staff was friendly; the area was great and central to everything we needed. The room itself was nice, but the walls were very thin, so noise was an issue for athletes needing sleep and the mom who needed to drive them, but we got what we needed and enjoyed most of our stay. And of course the kids loved the pool!

Horrible Stay

Not great stay or experience. The hotel staff respond time was not great. The bed was very uncomfortable as well. I also had difficulty with the room and the bed request nor did I know anything about the extra hotel fees. As well as the issues with the hotel response time with the bathroom problems we had.

Smoking in room

We went into room and the bathroom in particular smelled of smoke. We went to the front desk but were informed the place was sold out. I went back to my room and as I was unpacking found a cigarette in the bedside table drawer. I informed the front desk about this at checkout. This made me question if that room was even really cleaned between guests. I contacted this hotel via email and received no response.

Window Leakage

I do not recommend this hotel during cold weather because the wind penetrates right through the edges of the windows and your Shades will be flapping in the Wind
