After four consecutive years, we won’t be coming back.

After attending for four consecutive years with my entire sales team, this was by far our worst experience. The smoke detector alarm went off nonstop at 4:30 a.m. due to a low battery, and the front desk told us nothing could be done until Monday because it was the weekend. There are no safes in the rooms, which is a poor decision given there’s no secure place to store valuables. The breakfast was terrible. All the ice machines—one per floor—were out of order. On top of that, we were charged $10 per day for parking, even though we didn’t have a car. All six of us were very disappointed, and we’ve decided we won’t be coming back.

Didn't realize it's four stars.

I had a pretty bad experience with the housekeeping team until their manager told me this hotel is four stars, not five stars. Then it made more sense. The lack of turndown service and minimum help with laundry made more sense I think, not sure because I don't usually stay in four stars hotels. It's my fault for asking for five star service in a four star hotel, but you guys advertise as a five star hotel on Google (maps).
The team seems poorly trained overall, I had to recommend what to do and explain my situation to them. For example I arrived in the morning (international flight) to book a room and there was another mess there with the booking and checking my luggage all the way downstairs. Everything had to be done myself, though this was before I was alerted this is a four star hotel.

I’m switching hotels

The room which I paid over 200 bucks a night for 4 nights was terrible and it worth 50-75 bucks a night. Floor by the A/C was wet, shower head was filthy, towels were torn and old, soap dispensary was coming apart. Took 15 minutes for water to heat up… it was just horrible, and the sad thing is it’s my 3rd time staying here and also my last.

Dirty bed sheets, pillow cases and dirty bathroom.

The moment we pulled into the parking lot of this hotel, we saw a man checking car doors to see if they were unlocked. We originally believed it was his car then noticed his mannerisms and how he was looking around for other cars to check. The parking lot is hardly lit so that makes it very easy for sketchy people to steal from cars. If that wasn’t the first red flag, it should’ve been the walk to our room. The walls, elevator, and hotel doors obviously have been through many years of being unkept. I have never stayed in a hotel where my room was this disgusting. The bathroom was filthy. Shower had some sort of residue stuck on the floor, the drain had orange stains from what I can imagine hasn’t been properly cleaned from previous guests, the sink in the bathroom had remnants of a guest’s makeup products, and the worst part was our bed. I pulled back the blankets to reveal hair all in the sheets. Multiple people’s hair strands all in our bed, and on the pillow cases. My boyfriend and I immediately grabbed our bags, demanded a refund and book a room at a different hotel. This has caused me to never want to stay at a Holiday Inn ever again. The worst experience for a frequent traveler. The pictures that they are advertising are extremely miss leading. Please be aware of the cleanliness, safety and security of this specific hotel. Although they may claim they are renovating, this is not the case here.

AVOID THE KAMLOOPS HOLIDAY INN EXPRESS!

I recently stayed at the Kamloops Holiday Inn Express and had a very disappointing experience. The night front desk staff were extremely rude and confrontational, which made the stay uncomfortable from the start.
Additionally, there were multiple sports teams staying at the hotel, and they were constantly harassed by the staff, leaving them with nothing to do. The pool closes at 9:30 each night. The atmosphere felt more like a jail than a hotel.
Quiet time starts at 9:00 PM, and guests are not welcome to stay in any of the public areas such as the lobby, outdoor patio, or even the parking lot after this time. This strict policy made the stay even more restrictive and unpleasant.
I emailed my concerns to management but did not receive an appropriate response, which is very disappointing. Overall, the quality of the hotel and the service provided were poor. I would not recommend staying here.

Not at all suitable to anyone unless renovation work complete. This is highly unlikely that hotelier is not even bothered to inform the guest.

Room fine, experience not so much

We were staying at the same time as families participating in a youth football tournament, which is totally fine. Unfortunately, kids were running through the hallways yelling and slamming doors until about midnight. Then, at 2:40 am the fire alarm was set off from a person smoking next to a window in the hallway. After that from about 3:00 am until 4:00 intoxicated adults were talking loudly in the hallway. All of these things completely impacted our ability to sleep. I would think the hotel staff should address these types of behaviors to ensure guests can get some sleep.

It is truly unique and ideal for guests travelling on business and looking to enjoy the serene, easy-to-concentrate environment with all the facilities that a business trip requires. Worst stay ever at a holiday inn

Their was a rotten egg smell in the bathroom coming from the shower and sink as well as black mold in the shower. I go sick from drinking the bottled water in the room was throwing up for 7 hours straight. The air conditioning was not working right. Management does nothing to help was told I would be contacted by someone it’s been over a month with multiple calls to the holiday inn. I would recommend staying far away from this place.
