Wie immer habe ich mich sehr wohl gefühlt im Crowne Plaza Brüssel, die Freundlichkeit der Mitarbeiter, die Zuvorkommenheit, auch des Housekeeping, und ja natürlich fühlte ich mich ein einer der sehr schönen und großen Suites wie immer sehr wohl. Deshalb werde ich regelmäßig auch weiterhin im Le Palace in Brüssel wohnen. Das Zusammenspiel aller für mich wichtigen Kriterien ist für mich persönlich im Crowne Plaza Le Palace in Brüssel in ganz besonderer Weise erfüllt. Es gehört daher für mich zu den besten Crowne Plaza Hotels in Westeuropa

Mostly as expected but sound-proofing needs change

Holiday Inn have a good reputation and this particular visit lived up to it... mostly. Booking was easy. We had a question to ask about getting from Gatwick Airport to the hotel, which was answered quickly and politely through the chat window on the IHG website. Why did we use the chat link? Because I was unhappy to pay the premium phone rate for ringing the hotel. The chat window system worked, but I am still surprised that ANY hotel chain should charge a premium rate to talk to the people who are working in the hotel one is about to stay in.
The only disappointment was that our room had a (locked) connecting door with the next one but the doorway was not adequately sound proofed. I would recommend to future guests that they check that they have a room without such a connecting door.

Holiday Inn Express Edinburgh – Leith Waterfront is located on the outskirts of the city, in the cool harbour neighbourhood of Leith, also known as The Shore. Edinburgh Waverley train station is within easy reach and Edinburgh Airport (EDI) is 25 minutes away. Catch trams into the city centre from opposite the hotel. On-site parking is 10 GBP per night and spaces are limited.

My group stayed here for 4 nights in January, although check in was a little confusing regarding who were in what room, our overall exprience was great! Friendly staff, plenty of food for breakfast, clean rooms and they put us all on the same floor.

Disappointment

Following a very difficult drive from Dorset, we had real difficulty actually finding the hotel entrance in the one way traffic system.We were greeted by a really lovely warm genuine Holiday Inn female Holiday Inn night staff member Mecky?. The attached rooms were wonderful since we have a special needs 10 y old with complex neurology and a parent with malignant sarcoma undergoing care in the Royal Marsden Hospital London. The family friendly policy has been ideal. We had to cut our stay short, from 2 to 1 night due to back pain and sciatica secondary to very hard mattress.
However, the above was not as concerning as the frank rudeness and lack of professionalism encountered when checking out with the Day Manager on the 28th. He subjected my husband to a very public inquisitorial about the nature of our sons needs and the cancer treatment. He was embarrassed and taken aback by the contrast to the charming nature of his colleague. He was similarly hostile when I returned our room keys. This incident really spoilt our stay. This occasion fell way below our history with IHG and it must be said it would be useful to reconsider staff representing the hotel. Merky was simply delightful, thanking us for our loyalty and the contrast with a floor manager who didn't wear a name badge was disappointing. A long drive back to Dorset with sciatica and back pain was awful but really would have mattered much less if we hadn't been subjugated to the humiliating public review of very private health concerns at the front desk. Feedback should highlight the value in promoting an employee already present with the requiste skills to represent hospitality in this brand

Whilst I was pleased to hear of the warm welcome that you received from Meshy on arrival, it was disappointing to receive your feedback when you came to check-out, particularly following the investigation I have since conducted with the team.
Your original booking I understand was for one room, however, commensurate to your son’s needs the team arranged for the comfort of your family, an additional bedroom for you, at no extra charge.
Following your decision to leave earlier than planned, technically we could have charged an early departure fee, however, based on your circumstances, as a gesture of goodwill, the decision was made to waive this charge.
In light of the action taken to assist you with the very best interest of your family at heart, we are extremely perplexed by your feedback. I am extremely surprised too to hear that the Duty Manager treated you as he did, having lost his own mother to cancer and his father currently undertaking treatment. He therefore knows only too well the complexity and sensitivity relating to such a horrendous condition and he is upset that to hear your feedback that he came across to you in such a manner,
As can be seen from the many reviews posted prior to yourself, the team always shine through in a most positive light in terms of their helpful, friendly and sensitive nature. An elegant central Paris hotel, right on the Place de la République and close to the vibrant Marais district.

Gutes Hotel

Sehr guter Service , top Personal, leckeres Essen. Aber wir konnten die ganze nacht nicht schlafen. Das schlechteste Bett in dem ich jemals gelegen habe. Es war viel zu schmal für 2 Personen. Eine schlechte Matratze . Ich hatte kreuzschmerzen, meine Lebensgefährtin hat die nacht sogar auf der Couch verbracht. Wie gesagt beide kein auge zugemacht!!!

Nach Rücksprache mit Herrn Cox, unserem Front Office Manager, teilte mir dieser mit, dass er Sie bei Anreise ausdrücklich über die Bettengröße informiert hat, Sie aber dennoch dieses Zimmer wünschten. Die Matratze werden wir prüfen und ggf. austauschen lassen. Es tut mir sehr Leid, dass Sie und Ihre Begleitung nachts nicht gut schlafen konnten. Ja nach Belegung hätten Sie das Zimmer auch während der Nacht noch tauschen können. Sollten Sie uns noch einmal besuchen, blocken wir gerne ein schönes Zimmer mit einem großen Doppelbett für Sie. Over the years I have stayed in a lot of HI's around the world. This particular one really stands out. Although I was only there one night, I will make it a point to stop again when traveling through.
